Q&A Rulings
- Q: When I activate "Limit Code", my opponent chains "Mystical Space Typhoon" and destroys it. In this case, what happens?
- A: In this scenario, if "Limit Code" was destroyed by "Mystical Space Typhoon" that was chained to its activation, you cannot place any counters on it, so you cannot Special Summon a "Code Talker" monster from your Extra Deck.[1]
- Q: While I only have a "Code Talker" in my GY, I activate "Limit Code". If my opponent chains the effect of "D.D. Crow" and banishes "Code Talker" from the GY, how does "Limit Code" resolve?
- A: In this scenario, due to the effect of "D.D. Crow" that was chained to "Limit Code", there will be no Cyberse Link Monsters in your GY, so you cannot place any counters on "Limit Code", nor can you Special Summon a "Code Talker" monster from your Extra Deck and equip it. (After the Chain finishes resolving, "Limit Code" is sent to the GY.)[2]
