OCG Rulings
- The effect that negates the effect of a Trap Card is a Quick Effect. (Tributing "Linguriboh" is a cost to activate this effect. It cannot be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- This effect does not target. (It is activated directly in Chain to the activation of an opponent's Trap Card.)[1]
- The effect that Special Summons this card is a Quick Effect that activates in the Graveyard. (It does not target. It cannot be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- Tributing 1 "@Ignister" monster in your Monster Zone that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck is a cost to activate this effect.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: While "Imperial Iron Wall" is in your opponent's Spell & Trap Zone and its effect is being applied, can you activate the effect of "Linguriboh" in Chain to the activation of an opponent's Trap Card?
- A: If "Imperial Iron Wall" is already face-up and cards cannot be banished, the effect of "Linguriboh" that negates an effect cannot be activated in Chain to the activation of an opponent's Trap Card.
If the effect of "Imperial Iron Wall" is being applied when resolving the effect of "Linguriboh", the activated effect is negated, but the card is not banished. (If it is a Normal Trap Card such as "Raigeki Break", it is sent to the Graveyard after its effect is negated. If it is a Continuous Trap Card such as "Call of the Haunted", the activated effect is negated, but since the card activation was performed, it remains face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone.)[2]
