- Q: A "Metaphys Decoy Dragon" in my Pendulum Zone is banished by the effect of my opponent's "Cosmic Cyclone". At this time, can I activate the effect of "Mana Dragon Zirnitron" that Special Summons it?
- A: Pendulum Monsters in the Pendulum Zone are treated as Spell Cards, so if they are banished from your Pendulum Zone by the effect of your opponent's "Cosmic Cyclone", you can activate the effect of "Mana Dragon Zirnitron". Although "Mana Dragon Zirnitron" is Special Summoned normally, since a Pendulum Monster is not considered a Spell Card while it is banished, you cannot apply the part of the effect that Sets a Spell/Trap Card unless there is an actual Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard or banished that you can Set.[1]
