OCG Rulings
- This card's effect that Special Summons it from your hand during damage calculation is a Quick Effect that activates in the hand. (It does not target. Sending 1 other "Marincess" monster from your hand to the GY is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- This card's effect that prevents you from taking battle damage less than or equal to the total Link Ratings of all "Marincess" monsters in your GY × 1000 is a Trigger Effect that activates in the GY. (It does not target. Banishing this card from your GY is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- This effect counts the total Link Ratings of all "Marincess" monsters in your GY at the time its Chain Link resolves, and prevents you from taking battle damage less than or equal to that total × 1000 for the rest of the turn. (Even if the number of "Marincess" Link Monsters in your GY changes afterward, the amount of battle damage this effect prevents does not change.)[1]
