TCG Rulings
- The effect that lets you Special Summon “Mist Valley Thunderbird” is a Trigger Effect that activates in the hand.[1]
- The effect that prevents you from attacking with “Mist Valley Thunderbird” is part of the effect that Special Summons it. It is not negated by “Skill Drain.”[1]
- You can Special Summon “Mist Valley Thunderbird” by its effect even during the Damage Step.[1]
- If “Mist Valley Thunderbird” is returned to your hand and you Chain “Reload” to the activation of its effect, you cannot Special Summon it even if you draw it again during the resolution of “Reload.”[1]
OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Mist Valley Thunderbird" which Special Summons it is a Trigger Effect that activates in the hand.[2]
- The "cannot attack" effect of "Mist Valley Thunderbird" is resolved as the same effect which Special Summons it.[2][3] Thus, if "Skill Drain" is active, then "Mist Valley Thunderbird" still cannot attack.[3]
- The effect of "Mist Valley Thunderbird" which Special Summons it will activate even if "Mist Valley Thunderbird" is returned to your hand during the Damage Step.[2]
