Card Rulings:Monster Reincarnation
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[1] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - You can select a card discarded for the cost of "Monster Reincarnation" as a target of the effect of that same "Monster Reincarnation" (returning the monster to your hand).
- If you discard "Night Assailant" or "Makyura the Destructor" their effects activate even if you retrieve the same card.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude: Since you are only activating the Normal Spell Card’s effect, and not the Normal Spell Card itself, you do not pay costs and you do not have to meet any activation requirements. For example, you would not […] discard 1 card for “Monster Reincarnation” […].
