- This card's effect that negates the activation of a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect is the effect that is applied by activating this card. (It does not target, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- This card must be chained directly to the activation of a Spell/Trap Card or a monster effect. (It cannot be chained to the activation of a Spell/Trap effect.)[1]
- This card's effect that adds a DARK Machine monster to your hand starts a Chain and activates in the GY. (It does not target, and cannot be activated during the Damage Step.)[1]
- Banishing this card from your Graveyard is the cost to activate this effect.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: When my opponent activates the effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" from their hand, can I chain "Orcust Crescendo"?
- A: You can chain "Orcust Crescendo" to the effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring". In that case, the activation of the effect is negated, however since "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" was discarded from the hand, it is not banished.[2][3]
