Card Rulings:Prank-Kids Plan
OCG Rulings
- This card's activation can be done at any point except the Damage Step.[1]
- The effect of this card that Link Summons a "Prank-Kids" Link Monster immediately after it resolves starts a Chain. (It does not target.)[1]
- You can activate this effect as part of the same Chain Link as the card's activation.[1]
- The effect of this card that decreases the ATK of your opponent's attacking monster is an effect that activates in the Graveyard and starts a Chain. (It does not target. Banishing this card from your Graveyard is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- Returning "Prank-Kids" cards from your Graveyard to your Deck and decreasing the ATK of your opponent's attacking monster happen simultaneously.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: When my opponent's "Shinobird Crow" declares an attack on my "Prank-Kids Rip-Roarin-Roaster", can I activate the second effect of "Prank-Kids Plan" by banishing it from my Graveyard?
- A: In this scenario, even when your opponent declares an attack with "Shinobird Crow", you can activate the second effect of "Prank-Kids Plan". For example, if you return 5 "Prank-Kids" cards to your Deck at the time, "Shinobird Crow" will lose 500 ATK until the end of the turn, so that if your opponent activates the effect of "Shinobird Crow" during the Damage Step, the ATK is recalculated to be 500 less than the ATK of the discarded Spirit monster.[2]
- Q: When my opponent's "Dark Rabbit" declares an attack, I activate the second effect of "Prank-Kids Plan" by banishing it from my Graveyard. If my opponent chains "Book of Moon" and changes that "Dark Rabbit" to face-down Defense Position, what happens?
- A: In this scenario, when resolving the effect of "Prank-Kids Plan", even if the opponent's attacking monster is in face-down Defense Position, you still shuffle any number of "Prank-Kids" cards from your Graveyard into the Deck, but the part of the effect that decreases the attacking monster's ATK does not apply.[3]
