Card Rulings:Rai-Jin
OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Rai-Jin" which destroys a monster during the End Phase is a Trigger Effect. This effect targets one LIGHT monster on your side of the field.[1]
- Even if "Skill Drain" is negating the effect "There can only be 1 of this card face-up on the field." of a monster like "Rai-Jin" or "Guardian of Order", the effect of copies of "Rai-Jin" or "Guardian of Order" in your hand will still be active, so you still cannot Normal Summon a second copy of "Rai-Jin" or "Guardian of Order".[2]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[3] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise.
