OCG Rulings
- It can only be activated if there are 2 or more face-up "Crystal Beast" cards in the player's Spell & Trap Zone.[1]
- The application of "Your opponent chooses 1 "Crystal Beast" card in your Spell & Trap Zone, you send it to the GY" and the application of "and if you do, you draw 2 cards" are treated as being done at the same time.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: If "Mystical Space Typhoon" is chained to the activation of "Rare Value" and a "Crystal Beast" card in my Spell & Trap Zone is destroyed, so that I only have 1 "Crystal Beast" card in my Spell & Trap Zone when the effect of "Rare Value" resolves, how does the effect apply?
- A: If you only have 1 "Crystal Beast" card in your Spell & Trap Zone when "Rare Value" resolves, you will send that card to the GY and draw 2 cards. Also, if you do not have any "Crystal Beast" cards in your Spell & Trap Zone when "Rare Value" resolves, no part of its effect is applied.[2][3]

- If there are no “Crystal Beast” cards in Spell & Trap Card Zone when this card resolves, you cannot draw 2 cards.
- If there is only 1 “Crystal Beast” card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone when this card resolves, that card is sent to the Graveyard and you draw 2 cards.
- If "Macro Cosmos" or "Banisher of the Raidance" [sic] is on the field, you can still activate "Rare Value", but since the "Crystal Beast" card is not sent to the Graveyard you do NOT draw 2 cards.
