Q&A Rulings
- Q: My "Borreload Dragon" is in the Extra Monster Zone, while my opponent's "Cyberse Wizard" and my "Shelrokket Dragon" are in the Main Monster Zones on each side of the field in the same column. In this situation, if I activate the effect of "Borreload Dragon" that reduces a monster's ATK/DEF by 500, targeting "Shelrokket Dragon", can I chain the effect of "Shelrokket Dragon"?
- A: Even in this scenario, you can activate the effect of "Shelrokket Dragon". "Shelrokket Dragon" and "Cyberse Wizard" will be destroyed, but if there are no monsters in the Main Monster Zones adjacent to "Cyberse Wizard" as in this scenario, the effect finishes resolving.[1]
- Q: My "Borreload Dragon" and opponent's "Gouki Thunder Ogre" are in the Extra Monster Zones, and my "Shelrokket Dragon" was in my Main Monster Zone in the same column as "Gouki Thunder Ogre".
"Shelrokket Dragon" will be destroyed, but if you destroy the "Gouki Thunder Ogre" in the Extra Monster Zone in the same column afterward, there are no other Monster Zones adjacent to it so the effect finishes resolving.[2]
- Q: "Cyberse Wizard" is face-up in my opponent's Main Monster Zone, while "Backup Secretary" and "Stack Reviver" are each in the Main Monster Zones adjacent to it. In this situation, if I activated the effect of "Shelrokket Dragon" that was in the same column as "Cyberse Wizard", but my opponent chains "Forbidden Dress" targeting "Cyberse Wizard", what happens?
- A: In this scenario, "Shelrokket Dragon" is destroyed by its own effect, but since your opponent's "Cyberse Wizard" in its column cannot be destroyed by the effect, the monsters in the adjacent Monster Zones are also not destroyed.[3]
