OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Skull Conductor" which makes it destroy itself occurs during the End Step of the Battle Phase.[1]
- Sending "Skull Conductor" from the hand to the Graveyard is a cost to activate its effect which Special Summons the Zombie-Type monsters.[1]
- With the effect of "Skull Conductor", you can Special Summon one monster with 2000 ATK and one monster with 0 ATK. Also, you can Special Summon only one monster with 2000 ATK.[2]
TCG Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Konami before the introduction of Problem-Solving Card Text. Since the introduction of the new text structure, individual card rulings for the TCG are no longer issued or actively maintained.[4] They have never been formally overturned as a whole and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules and do not contradict card text. |
- You destroy this card during the End Step of the Battle Phase.[3]
- If you activate this effect, you must Special Summon at least one Zombie. You cannot activate the effect if you have no monsters to Special Summon.[3]
- You cannot Special Summon "King of the Skull Servants" or other monsters with ? ATK using this effect.[3]
- The effect to destroy "Skull Conductor" also activates during your opponent's Battle Phase.[3]
- If "Skull Conductor" is face-down it won't be destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase.[3]
- You can Special Summon one monster with 2000 ATK or one monster with 2000 ATK and one monster with 0 ATK if you want.[3]
- You look at the printed ATK of the monsters you want to Special Summon.[3]

Rules posted online will be limited to super-complicated and really weird situations. Imagine going down to a dozen pages of card rules, instead of a thousand. It could happen.
