Q&A Rulings

A: As in this scenario, if "Supreme King Z-ARC" is the only monster on your field, you cannot activate "Supreme Rage". Since the effect of "Supreme Rage" destroys all monsters on your field except "Supreme King Z-ARC", you cannot activate it unless there is at least 1 monster on your field other than "Supreme King Z-ARC".[1]
  • Q: If "Supreme King Z-ARC" is in my Pendulum Zone, can I activate "Supreme Rage"?
A: Even if "Supreme King Z-ARC" is in your Pendulum Zone, you can activate "Supreme Rage". However, you cannot activate it unless there is at least 1 monster in your Monster Zone other than "Supreme King Z-ARC".[2]
  • Q: While the effect of "Vanity's Emptiness" is applying, can I activate "Supreme Rage"? Also, what happens if my opponent chains "Vanity's Emptiness" to my "Supreme Rage"?
A: "Supreme Rage" cannot be activated if the effect of "Vanity's Emptiness" is applying. Also, if "Vanity's Emptiness" is chained to "Supreme Rage", all monsters on your field other than "Supreme King Z-ARC" are destroyed normally, but you cannot Special Summon any "Supreme King Dragon" monsters with different names from your hand, Deck, Extra Deck, or Graveyard.[3]
  • Q: I activate "Supreme Rage". If my opponent chains "Book of Eclipse" and changes all face-up monsters on the field to face-down Defense Position, what happens?
A: The effect of "Supreme Rage" will destroy all monsters on your field other than "Supreme King Z-ARC", but if "Book of Eclipse" is chained and changes "Supreme King Z-ARC" to face-down Defense Position, "Supreme King Z-ARC" will also be destroyed, and the part of the effect that Special Summons "Supreme King Dragon" monsters is applied.[4]
  • Q: I activate "Supreme Rage". When the effect resolves, if the effect of "Forbidden Lance" has been applied to a "Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm" on my field, so that it is not destroyed by the effect of "Supreme Rage", what happens?
A: The effect of "Supreme Rage" will destroy all monsters on your field other than "Supreme King Z-ARC", and if it does, Special Summon "Supreme King Dragon" monsters with different names from your hand, Deck, Extra Deck, or Graveyard. Note that when the effect resolves, if at least 1 monster on your field is destroyed, the part of the effect that Special Summons "Supreme King Dragon" monsters with different names from your hand, Deck, Extra Deck, or Graveyard will be applied even if not all of those monsters on the field were destroyed. (For example, if there are 2 copies of "Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm" on your field, but 1 is unaffected by Spell/Trap effects due to the effect of "Forbidden Lance", the other will be destroyed, so the part of the effect that Special Summons is applied.)[5]
  • Q: If I activate "Supreme Rage", can I Special Summon "Supreme King Dragon" monsters from my Extra Deck to my Main Monster Zones with its effect?
A: When Special Summoning "Supreme King Dragon" monsters from your hand, Main Deck, or Graveyard with the effect of "Supreme Rage", those monsters are Special Summoned to the Main Monster Zones. If you Special Summon any monsters from your Extra Deck, they are normally Special Summoned to an Extra Monster Zone, but they can be Special Summoned to a Main Monster Zone that is linked to a Link Monster on the field, such as a "Decode Talker" in your opponent's Extra Monster Zone.[6]
A: "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom" is a monster that can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon or by its other written procedure, and cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard afterward with effects such as "Monster Reborn". However, since the effect of "Supreme Rage" ignores the Summoning conditions written in its text, a "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom" that was previously properly Special Summoned by Fusion Summon or its other written procedure can be Special Summoned.[7]
A: Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters sent directly from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard by the effect of "Zaborg the Mega Monarch" were never properly Special Summoned. Therefore, in this scenario, "Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom", "Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing", and "Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion" cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard with the effect of "Supreme Rage". (Furthermore, if there are no other "Supreme King Dragon" monsters you can Special Summon in your hand, Deck, Extra Deck, or Graveyard, you cannot activate "Supreme Rage".)[8]
  • Q: I activate the second effect of "Supreme Rage", targeting a face-up "Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion" on my field. If "Forbidden Lance" is chained, and Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion becomes unaffected by Trap effects, how does the effect of "Supreme Rage" resolve?
A: When resolving the effect of "Supreme Rage" that activates in the Graveyard, if "Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion" is unaffected by Trap effects, no "Supreme King Dragon" monsters can be attached to it as Xyz Materials. (No monsters are chosen from the Graveyard or Extra Deck.)[9]
  • Q: I activate the second effect of "Supreme Rage", targeting a face-up "Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion" on my field. If my opponent chains "Enemy Controller" and takes control of "Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion", how does the effect of "Supreme Rage" resolve?
A: When resolving the effect of "Supreme Rage" that activates in the Graveyard, if "Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion" is on your opponent's side of the field, "Supreme King Dragon" monsters are attached to it from your Extra Deck and/or Graveyard normally.[10]
