TCG Rulings
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Crimson Fire: If the opponent activates a card that inflicts damage to both players, such as "Tremendous Fire," and you respond with “Crimson Fire,” you take no damage and your opponent takes 2500 damage (the 500 normal, plus double the 1000 damage you would have taken).
OCG Rulings
- This card's effect does not target.[1]
- Inflicting 1000 damage to your opponent and taking 500 damage yourself are considered to resolve simultaneously.[1]
- "Mystical Refpanel" cannot be activated in Chain to the activation of "Tremendous Fire".[1]
- The player who activates "Crimson Fire" takes no damage from the effect to which "Crimson Fire" was chained. If your opponent activates "Tremendous Fire" and you chain "Crimson Fire", then your opponent takes 500 damage plus 2000 damage (double 1000) because of the effect of "Crimson Fire", for a total of 2500 damage.[2]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[3] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - Barrel Behind the Door: You can activate "Barrel Behind the Door" against Normal and Quick-Play Spell and Trap Cards, such as "Tremendous Fire" or "Attack and Receive".
- Barrel Behind the Door: You can activate "Barrel Behind the Door" against "Ring of Destruction", and then your opponent will take all of the damage (the damage inflicted to him/her and the damage that would have been inflicted to you). The same is true for "Tremendous Fire".
