OCG Rulings

  • This card's effect that allows a "Witchcrafter" monster to attack twice this turn and prevents your opponent from activating Spell/Trap Cards when it attacks is the effect that is applied by activating this card. (It targets 1 face-up "Witchcrafter" monster in your Monster Zone.)[1]
  • This card's effect that adds it from your GY to your hand starts a Chain and activates in the GY. (It does not target.)[1]
  • This effect can be activated during your own End Phase if this card is present in your GY and a "Witchcrafter" monster is face-up in your Monster Zone. (However, you cannot activate this effect during the turn you activated a "Witchcrafter Collaboration".)[1]
  • When resolving this card's effect that adds it to your hand, even if you no longer have a "Witchcrafter" monster face-up in your Monster Zone, the effect is applied normally.[1]

Q&A Rulings

A: In this scenario, if the monster targeted with the effect of "Witchcrafter Collaboration" is unaffected by Spell effects when it resolves, no part of the effect is applied.[2][3]
A: When a monster affected by "Witchcrafter Collaboration" attacks, the opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. While that effect is applied, the opponent can still activate Spell/Trap effects, so in this scenario, you can activate the effect of a "Raidraptor - Readiness" in your GY.[4][3]
A: Even if the monster targeted by "Witchcrafter Collaboration" is in face-down Defense Position when its effect resolves, the effect is applied normally. In this scenario, if the targeted "Witchcrafter Edel" returns to face-up Attack Position this turn, it can attack twice during each Battle Phase, and when it does your opponent will not be able to activate Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.[5][6]
