Card Tips:Ancient Gear Howitzer
- Since this card is very difficult to remove from the field other than being destroyed by battle:
- "Branch!" forms an excellent combo with this card, since their combined effects provide the necessary Fusion Materials for another Fusion Summon of this card.
- One can use ATK-reducing cards on the opponent's monsters to ensure this monster survives any battle, such as "Burden of the Mighty" or "Venom Swamp".
- This card can be resummoned from the GY very easily as well, whether through "Geartown", "Ancient Gear Fortress", or "Ancient Gear Reborn", potentially forcing your opponent to destroy it multiple times in a single turn and with more "Ancient Gear" monsters being summoned each time.
- "Ancient Gear Wyvern" can be a very useful summon, as its effect adds to your hand. Adding "Ancient Gear Box" can allow you to search "Infinitrack Anchor Drill", potentially setting up the summoning of "Ancient Gear Ballista" during your turn. This can, in turn, summon another copy of "Ancient Gear Wyvern" (by searching and destroying Geartown), which can use its effect again during your turn to add another "Ancient Gear Box" to your hand.
- Since one of this card's few weaknesses is being Tributed for the Special Summon of an opponent's monster (such as the "Kaiju" monsters), cards like "Mask of Restrict" and "Fog King" can help prevent this.
