Card Tips:Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon
- This card can be searched by "Bingo Machine, Go!!!", "Priestess with Eyes of Blue", "The Melody of Awakening Dragon", "Starliege Seyfert", "Bystial Magnamhut", "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms", "Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon", "Draconnection", "Minerva, Lightsworn Maiden", "Chaos Zone", and other generic searchers.
- "Fusion Armament" can be used to bring out "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" easily, facilitating the Summon of this card.
- "Dragon Shrine" and "Dragon Ravine" can be used to send Dragon monsters from the Deck to the GY in order to increase this card's ATK.
- "Future Fusion" can be activated by revealing "Five-Headed Dragon", allowing it to send 5 Dragon monsters to the GY during the next Standby Phase.
- "Mound of the Bound Creator", "Dragon Shield", and "Safe Zone" can prevent this card from being destroyed by card effects that do not target it.
- This card can be equipped with "Metalsilver Armor" to make your other monsters slightly invulnerable to your opponent's card effects.
- "Queen Dragun Djinn" can be useful in a "Blue-Eyes" Deck geared towards Summoning this card, since it can resurrect "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" to Tribute it, or "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". It can also prevent your other Dragon monsters from being destroyed by battle.
- Use this card in conjunction with "Vanguard of the Dragon" and "Spirit Ryu" to send cards to the Graveyard to boost the ATKs of "Vanguard", "Spirit Ryu" and "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon".
Traditional Format[edit]
- Choose this card when you activate "Last Turn". Any other Dragons you control or have in your hand will be sent to the Graveyard, powering this Monster up.
- This can be taken a step further by having "Return of the Dragon Lords" in your Graveyard. This card will already be difficult to destroy by battle, but "Return of the Dragon Lords" can protect this card from being destroyed by card effects.
- Use "Painful Choice" to send 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" for "Dragon's Mirror" or 4 random Dragons to give this card a 1200 ATK point boost.
- This card can be Special Summoned with "A Wild Monster Appears!" and then Tributed during your opponent's turn by using "Escalation of the Monarchs" to summon "The Tyrant Neptune". When summoning "Neptune", you can target "Shining Dragon" to have "Neptune" gain its effects, making it an extraordinarily powerful Monster.
