Card Tips:Daigusto Phoenix
- Deep Sea Diva can easily summon this card, mainly by containing 2 copies of it in your deck. Rescue Rabbit is another good way to summon this card, by searching for 2 level 2 normal monsters.
- Also, cards like Giant Germ and Nimble Momonga can quickly summon it, while dealing damage to your opponent or giving you life points.
- This card can work well in a Fish deck. And for Synchros, "Stardust Dragon" would be a great target to attack twice.
- Another good choice would be "Meklord Emperor Skiel", which can attack directly, assuming you'll be using Union monsters to equip this card, which have a good number of level 2 monsters, monsters that can be used to summon this card.
- "Dark Simorgh" is another fine choice for this card's effect, especially since it is able to be special summoned from the hand or graveyard and is both a DARK and a WIND monster.
- Xyz Summon this card using "Plaguespreader Zombie" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog" and activate this card effect. Since monsters that are used as Xyz Material do not count as "Leaving the field", "Quillbolt Hedgehog" and "Plaguespreader Zombie" are sent to Graveyard instead of being banished. Activate both cards' effects again for another Xyz/Synchro Monster which can lead to an OTK.
- "Monarchs" can use this card if you have "Formula Synchron" or "Swap Frog". This can allow Raiza can attack twice.
- Similar as with "Gachi Gachi Gantetsu", you can easily perform an OTK with this card in an Ojama deck:
- Discard "Ojamagic" with "Ojama Country" (or by any other means) and summon "Ojama Red",
- activate "Ojama Delta Hurricane!!" to clear your opponent's field,
- now, assuming you have 5 Ojamas on the field, bring out 2 copies of "Daigusto Phoenix" and have them use their effects on themselves, then, if you have an extra "Ojama Country" or if you were able to summon 5 Ojamas with "Ojama Red" without using "Ojama Country", use its effect to Special Summon an Ojama from your Graveyard (which should be there if you used the effect of "Daigusto Phoenix") and bring out the third "Daigusto Pheonix".
- Use its effect and attack with all of them which results in (2 x 1500) x 3 = 9000 damage.
- This card can be used in a "Dragunity" Deck, using 2 copies of "Dragunity Phalanx".
- This card can be used to perform an OTK in an Agent deck with "Genex Ally Birdman" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog".
- Have "Quillbolt Hedgehog" in the grave, "Genex Ally Birdman" in hand, and "The Agent of Creation - Venus" on the field.
- Summon three copies of "Mystical Shine Ball" with the effect of "Venus", then bounce "Venus" for "Genex Ally Birdman".
- Summon "Quillbolt Hedgehog" from the graveyard and summon "Daigusto Phoenix". Detach "Quillbolt Hedgehog" for the effect of "Daigusto Phoenix", targeting itself. Repeat with the other two copies of "Mystical Shine Ball".
- You now have three Phoenixes that can attack for 2 x 1500 x 3 = 9000 damage, and can also summon a level 5 synchro with "Genex Ally Birdman" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog".
- Alternatively, you can bounce a Shine Ball instead of Venus for two copies of "Daigusto Phoenix", then summon the third "Shine Ball" with the effect of "Venus" to make a level 8 synchro with "Genex Ally Birdman" (and if "Stardust Dragon" was summoned, the second effect of "Daigusto Phoenix" can be used to let it attack twice).
- In a "Gusto" deck, this is easily summoned by flipping "Kamui, Hope of Gusto" and summoning "Gusto Falco" or "Gusto Squirro" from the deck.
- Interestingly enough, "Gusto Falco" is depicted on the artwork of "Kamui, Hope of Gusto" suggesting the teamwork of these two cards.
