- The chief difference between "Dark Voltanis" and "Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord" is that the latter specifically demands to negate the activation of another card, which tend to require costlier Counter Traps, and does not have a consistent effect. As such, "Dark Voltanis" can be summoned out of resolving Counter Traps that do not involve negation, like "Drastic Drop Off" and ""Black Horn of Heaven". However, it also demands a larger amount of DARK monsters to be used, which will most likely disallow it from being used in typical Counter Fairy Decks.
