• This card can be searched by "Snoww, Unlight of Dark World", "Rogue of Endymion", "Watch Cat", "Watch Dog", "The Despair Uranus", and other generic searchers.

• This card can also be useful support for perfect Exodia Decks allowing you to keep at least more than one monster more out that what your opponent can.

• Use a deck utilizing "Heart of the Underdog" and 30+ normal monsters, including some high level ones like "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Gogiga Gagagigo" and "Spiral Serpent". You'll draw a lot of normal monsters, and can then dump the high level ones to summon them using this card.

• Use in an Ice Barrier deck. You should have plenty of cards in your hand, and Ice Barriers have plenty of high-level monsters that this card can speed up getting out. If you discard "General Gantala of the Ice Barrier", then you can use his eff while it's still the end phase to get out another free Ice Barrier from your graveyard.

• The hand size reduction effect of "Silent Wobby" can make it easier to fulfill this card's condition.
• If you discard Fiend-Type Monster, Tribute this card for "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" and the monster for "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms"

Traditional Format

• This card can be used with "Card Destruction" if there are a few Dark World monsters in your hand that can be Special Summoned by their Discard effect and there is a "Card of Safe Return" on your side of the field. This allows the drawing of many cards and making your hand size exceed six to activate the effect of "Dark World Grimoire".* A more simplistic combo would be to simply wait until you have seven cards in your hand while "Dark World Grimoire" and "Card of Safe Return" is on your field; like the combo with Card of Safe Return and "Manticore of Darkness", discarding a monster card due to hand size limit and summoning it with "Dark World Grimoire" will activate "Card of Safe Return", forcing you to draw a card and, in turn, discarding due to hand size limit again, creating a loop that allows you to swarm the field with powerful monsters in a single go.
