Tribute "Paladin" or "Guardian" and the Token to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

• "Decoy Dragon" can be used to Special Summon "Felgrand Dragon" from your Graveyard and redirect the attack to "Felgrand Dragon".

• A monster can be dumped for this card's effect with "Foolish Burial" or "Fusion Guard".

• "Generation Shift" can be used to destroy "Felgrand Dragon" to bring another monster to your hand. Allowing the first to use its effect later.

• Use "Time Machine" or "Ribbon of Rebirth" to Special Summon this monster as soon as it reaches the Graveyard. "Rope of Life" can also be used as it will allow "Felgrand Dragon" to gain an additional 800 ATK plus the ATK from its effect.

• If this card was sent to the Graveyard from the field, the effect of "The Creator" or "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" can be used to bring this card back with its effect. The effect of "Darkness Metal Dragon" can also be used to bring out "Totem Dragon" to Summon this card to the field originally. This makes the Tribute Summon easier as it can't be Special Summoned from your hand.

• If "Light and Darkness Dragon" is on the field and "Felgrand Dragon" is in your Graveyard (sent there from the field), wait until "Light and Darkness Dragon" is destroyed, and use its effect to destroy all cards on your field, then Special Summon "Felgrand Dragon" and boost its attack up to 4400.

• If this card was sent to the Graveyard other than from the field, "Cyberdark Dragon" or "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten" can be equipped to it. This way, when "Felgrand Dragon" is destroyed, it can be revived, because it was sent from the field to the Graveyard. Another way is using the effect of "Herald of Creation" to return it to your hand. It also works with "Divine Dragon Apocralyph".
  • Also, if "Felgrand Dragon" is equip to "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten" and "Leyvaten" is destroyed by your opponent's card effect, it can be Special Summoned immediately from the Graveyard with the effect of "Leyvaten".

• If "Felgrand Dragon" is Summoned, activate "Zombie World". "Book of Life" can be used to Special Summon it if it is destroyed.

• Tribute this card and another high Level monster card to Summon "The Creator", and then activate its effect to Special Summon "Felgrand Dragon".

• Use "Advance Force" to make it easier to Normal Summon this card.

• If this card is sent to the Graveyard from the hand or Deck (i.e. the opponent used "Card Destruction" or some such) it can be brought back to the hand with "Monster Reincarnation".

Traditional Format

• There is an OTK involving this card. "Future Fusion", "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", and a "Dragunity Dux" or "Dragunity Legionnaire" is needed in your hand. Use "Future Fusion" to dump this card, "Leyvaten", a Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type "Dragunity" monster, "Malefic Truth Dragon", and any other Dragon-Type monster. Normal Summon the Winged Beast-Type "Dragunity" monster and equip it with the Dragon-Type "Dragunity" monster in your Graveyard. Banish the Winged Beast "Dragunity" monster to Special Summon "Leyvaten" and it equip it with this card. Banish "Leyvaten" to Special Summon "Darkness Metal Dragon". "Felgrand Dragon" will be sent from the field to the Graveyard, allowing it to be Special Summoned by the effect of "Darkness Metal Dragon". Target "Malefic Truth Dragon" with the effect of "Felgrand Dragon", which gives this card an extra 2400 ATK. Between the ATK of 2800 "Darkness Metal Dragon" and 5200 "Felgrand Dragon", 8000 damage is possible.

• If there are "Five-Headed Dragon" on the field, activate "Burst Breath" to destroy your opponent's monsters, then activate "Monster Reborn" to bring out "Felgrand Dragon" and select "Five-Headed" in your Graveyard, making the total ATK of "Felgrand" 5200.
