Card Tips:Gishki Diviner
- This card can be searched by "Gishki Abyss", "Gishki Avance", "Gishki Ariel", "Deep Sea Diva", "Atlantean Dragoons", "Animadorned Archosaur", "Flying Red Carp", "Underworld Egg Clutch", "Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation", "Mermail Abysspike", "Eria the Water Charmer, Gentle", "Mother Grizzly", "Big Whale", "Shark Cruiser", "Sphere of Chaos", "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Rescue Ferret", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- Use this with "Convulsion of Nature" to essentially draw an extra card each turn.
- This can also be done with "Archfiend's Oath" (albeit at the cost of 500 Life Points a turn) or, more simply, with 2 "Diviners"; even if you guess wrong with the first, you will know exactly what it is for the second.
- The above strategy can also work as a one-off draw with "Deep Sea Diva" and "Surface". Normal Summon "Deep Sea Diva", use its effect to Summon "Gishki Diviner", use "Diviner's" effect to look at the top card of your deck, Synchro Summon a level 5 Synchro Monster, then revive Diviner with one of the aforementioned Spell Cards and use its effect again.
- Combine with cards like "Plaguespreader Zombie" that return cards to the top of the deck to nullify the cost.
- Use this card to make "Deep Diver's" effect basically a costless search. You can also do the same with "A Cat of Ill Omen".
- In a Gishki Deck, you can use "Contact with the Aquamirror" or "Gishki Chain's" effect to pick up cards from your Deck so that you know what cards are next.
- You can also use this card in combination with "Gishki Avance" to get any Gishki monster from your Deck to your hand turn after turn.
- Use two "Gishki Diviner" to know the top card of your deck and add it to your hand
Traditional Format[edit]
