• Since this card requires 2 Level 4 WATER monsters as Xyz Material, the combined effects of "Right-Hand Shark" and "Left-Hand Shark" provide an easy way of Summoning this card, while also bestowing protection on it.
  • "Buzzsaw Shark" can be used as an alternative to Special Summon "Right-Hand Shark" from the Deck.

• Since this card's effect makes all monsters on the field become WATER-Attribute, it can work well with "Gozen Match", as that Trap's effect prevents the opponent from Summoning non-WATER monsters (if they already control a face-up monster).

• "Zexal Field" can work well with this card (and "Stealth Kragen Spawn"), since that Spell's effect can attach an Xyz Monster from the Extra Deck or Graveyard to this card whenever it is Special Summoned － therefore strengthening this card's effect, as that effect Special Summons copies of "Stealth Kragen Spawn" based on the number of Xyz Materials this card had.
  • "Xyz Slidolphin" can also serve the same purpose, with its versatility in also being a Level 4 WATER monster that can Special Summon itself from the hand.
  • "Toadally Awesome" is a good choice to attach as Xyz Material, since it is a WATER monster that can be continually attached by the effects of the "Stealth Kragen" monsters, and its effect will trigger each time it is sent to the Graveyard.

• This card's Special-Summoning effect provides an easy way of Xyz Summoning "Number F0: Utopic Future", assuming the opponent doesn't manage to destroy a copy of "Stealth Kragen Spawn" first.

• Since this card's disruptive effect doesn't require Xyz Material to activate, its Xyz Materials can be removed for other useful card effects, such as "Xyz Remora" (whose effect can provide a way of Special Summoning another copy of this card) and "Xyz Gift". However, the downside is that the Special Summon effects of this card (and "Stealth Kragen Spawn") will Special Summon fewer copies of monsters, most likely none.
  • With this in mind, it is also strategically feasible to Special Summon this card from the Extra Deck without any Xyz Material, via an effect such as "Number 99: Utopia Dragonar".
    • It is also possible to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard with a different card effect, such as "Call of the Haunted", "Xyz Revive Splash" or "Xyz Double Back" (the latter also Special Summoning an accompanying "Stealth Kragen Spawn").

• While this card is on the field, "Crystal Shark" can Special Summon itself from the hand or GY by halving the ATK of an opponent's monster. If this card has not been Summoned yet, "Crystal Shark" can also treat itself as a Level 4 monster and be used as one of the required materials.

• "Diamond Dust" can be very versatile with this card, since that Trap's effect destroys all WATER monsters on the field (strengthened by this card's Attribute-changing effect).
  • It can be used during the player's Battle Phase, to clear the field for direct attacks from new incoming copies of "Stealth Kragen Spawn" (assuming "Number 4" had at least 1 Xyz Material).
  • It can be used during the opponent's turn to disrupt any monster presence the opponent manages to set up (ideally after "Number 4" uses its own destructive effect).
  • If the player only controls a "Stealth Kragen Spawn(s)" with at least 1 Xyz Material, it can be used to destroy that monster(s), triggering its effect to Special Summon this card (which is useful with its self-enabling destruction effect) and possibly another copy of "Stealth Kragen Spawn".
  • To a lesser extent, "Offerings to the Doomed" can be used on the player's "Stealth Kragen" monsters for the aforementioned benefits, being useful due to its versatile status as a Quick-Play Spell Card.
