• You can easily Summon this card after using "Future Fusion" and revealing "Rainbow Overdragon", or using "Ultimate Crystal Magic".

• "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" can be chained to the second effect of "Rainbow Dragon", allowing it to return on the End Phase unharmed.
  • "Rainbow Refraction" can also be used to Special Summon as many "Crystal Beasts" as you want if you did not banish them all for this card's second effect, likely resulting in an OTK the turn since "Rainbow Dragon" will return to the field as well.

• Use "Magical Merchant" to send "Crystal Beast" cards quickly to the Graveyard and draw Spell Cards such as "Crystal Beacon" and "Crystal Blessing".

• Use "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon" on "Rainbow Dragon", since "Rainbow Dragon" can be Special Summoned again.

• Due to the abundance of additional "Crystal Beast" monsters released after the original 7 cards (namely "Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon" and the "Advanced Crystal Beast" monsters), the player must be careful not to have 8 or more different "Crystal Beast" cards on their field or GY since this card's Special Summon procedure still requires there to be exactly 7 different "Crystal Beast" cards on the field or GY.
  • In case there are 8 or more "Crystal Beast" names on the field or GY, consider using any excessive "Crystal Beast" cards as material for an Xyz Summon, banish or return such cards to reduce the number of "Crystal Beast" cards on the field or GY to be able to Special Summon this card.

Traditional Format

• Use "Painful Choice" to quickly discard the "Crystal Beast" cards to the Graveyard, making "Rainbow Dragon" easy to Summon.
