Card Tips:Scrap-Iron Scarecrow
- This card can be searched by "Trap Trick", "Trap Tracks", "Labrynth Archfiend", "Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle", "Lilith, Lady of Lament", "Triple Tactics Thrust", "Angel of Blue Tears", "Farewelcome Labrynth", "Labrynth Set-Up", and other generic searchers.
- This card can negate one attack per turn, so this card combined with "The Dark Door" or "Kaiser Colosseum" will stop your opponent from attacking.
- This card works well with "Worm" cards that activate effects upon cards being Set, such as "Worm Illidan".
- This card is perfect to stop "Sasuke Samurai" and "Drillroid" attacks, since they would destroy your Defense Position monsters, then you may form a defensive field against those monsters.
- Watch out for cards such as "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" and "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias", as they can Tribute a monster to negate this card and destroy it.
- This card also works well with "Savage Colosseum" as it negates your opponent's monster from attacking, thus destroying them during their End Phase.
- Combine this card with "Pixie Ring" to stop the destruction of your strongest monster on the field and therefore, because of the effect of "Pixie Ring" the destruction of all your other weaker monsters.
- An alternate option and more preferable is using "Dark Simorgh", absolutely preventing your opponent from Setting this card.
- "Bait Doll" can easily destroy this card because of the fact that "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" has a specific timing.
- Monsters that have effects which work after the Damage Step won't be applied, since "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" negates the attack.
- If there are 3 copies Set, it is unlikely for your opponent to get through.
- This card combos really well with "Rising Sun Slash", as it can help accumulate Rising Sun Counters pretty quickly, thanks to its ability to keep setting itself back down for repeated use.
- If this card is Set during your opponent's turn by the effect of "Dust Tornado", this card can still be activated during that turn if "Temple of the Kings" is on your field, if this card need to be activated.
- Also, with "Temple of the Kings" on the field, this card's effect can be used up to twice per turn since this card re-Sets itself after each use.

- This card's effect may be easily stopped with "Cold Wave", "Heavy Storm", "Giant Trunade", or "Harpie's Feather Duster".
