Card Tips:Summoning Curse
- This card can be searched by "Rogue of Endymion", "Watch Cat", "Watch Dog", "The Despair Uranus", and other generic searchers.
- This card is good in Anti-Meta Decks (especially those that do not rely on Special Summoning) as well as working as anti-meta against Decks such as "Gladiator Beasts", "Blackwings", Zombie, and Plant.
- This card is incredible with cards that Special Summon monsters to your opponent's field. This includes "Lava Golem", "Volcanic Queen", "Grinder Golem" (albeit with risk), certain Plant cards like "Bamboo Scrap" or "Cactus Fighter", "Give and Take" and others. This includes any cards that create Tokens that are Summoned to the opponent such as "Ojama Trio", Black Garden", "Revival Gift" (both with some risk) and "Nightmare Archfiends".
- This card's effect can be stacked with multiple copies, allowing yourself to severely deplete your opponent's hand when a monster is Normal Summoned while "Black Garden" is active. This can be followed up with a Set "Ojama Trio" to claim another card after your opponent's Draw Phase. Note: As this card's maintenance cost is optional, there is a choice to opt out from paying.
- Cards like "D.D. Scout Plane" or "Necroface" can be banished when a monster is Special Summoned to activate their effects.
- This card works exceptionally well with "Infernity" Decks. "Infernity" Decks tend to have no hand, so there is a chance to Special Summon without having to banish a card.
- In a Beast Deck, if any monster is Special Summoned, "Dark Desertapir" can be banished from your hand because the effect of "Summoning Curse" to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Beast monster from your Graveyard, but another card must be banished from your hand.
- If the effect of "Maxx "C"" is used at a time this would use its effect, a major shift in hand advantage can be caused, and further put off your opponent to committing to their plays.
- Could be used to speed up the Chaos Counter accumulation in "Chaos Zone" and slow down swarming.
- This card can be used to strengthen the likes of "Tyranno Infinity", "Golden Homunculus", and the "Helios" monsters.
