  • When this card is on the field and you have monsters between Levels 7-12 in your Graveyard, you can use some copies of "Galaxy Queen's Light" to gain easier access to any Xyz Monster between Ranks 7-12 by using the correct monsters.
  • When this card is on the field and you control at least two other monsters, you can use "Level Lifter" to change the level of the other two monsters to match, then use this card's effect to match the level of the discarded monster to have three monsters of the same level for Xyz Summons.
  • This card works well with "Infinite Cards".
    • If you don't have "Infinite Cards", you can use "Hieroglyph Lithograph" instead. It only increases your hand limit to seven, but with it, "Tragoedia" can become a 4200 ATK & DEF.
  • This card can be Summoned at any time you receive battle damage, which means you can ram your monster into an opposing monster that has a higher ATK or DEF and have this card make a surprisingly quick appearance.
  • If you Set "Begone, Knave!" face-down, you can Special Summon "Tragoedia" from your hand when you take battle damage. When you do, activate the Set "Begone, Knave!" to return the attacking monster back to you opponent's hand for a possible direct attack.
  • Use "Summoner's Art" to add a high-Level Normal Monster to your hand, that you can then discard to take control of an opponent's high-Level monster.
  • This card is useful with "Junk Warrior" if you target a Level 2 or lower monster in your Graveyard to copy.
  • The indefinite ATK and DEF of this card make it unable to be searched by any monster that uses that as a requirement, such as "Sangan", so make use of cards that can get around that, such as "Gold Sarcophagus".
  • In a Deck with many Normal Monsters one way to increase your hand size is to use "Heart of the Underdog". If you include a variety of Normal Monsters of different Levels, you'll also be able to take control of most monsters your opponent Summons.
  • You can attack an opponent's monster with "D.D. Warrior Lady" to both banish their monster and get a "Tragoedia" onto the field.
  • This card is great for Spirit Decks, since the Spirits effect of returning to your hand will leave your field empty while giving you a large number of cards in your hand.
  • This card makes performing an Xyz Summon with your opponent's monster simple. Just discard a monster of the same Level to take control of their monster, then target your discarded monster in the Graveyard, so that "Tragoedia" is the same Level as the monster you took control of.
    • Decks that utilize this card along with many level 4 monsters can use "Harmonic Waves" to take control of any opposing monster.
  • Use "Cardcar D" to boost this cards ATK while it is on the field or to draw into it.
  • This card's Special Summoning effect activates during the Damage Step, so it is unaffected by cards like "Bottomless Trap Hole", "Royal Oppression" and most other Summon-negating cards.
  • Since this card is Level 10, it can be used in a "Train" deck for easy Rank 10 material.
  • This card works well in a "Fortune Lady" Deck, because of their Draw Power.

Traditional Format[edit]
