  • "Kaiser" is the German word for "emperor". The title was used to refer to rulers of German territories under several different empires, including the Holy Roman Empire and the first German Empire.
    • This card's name is the only member of the "D/D/D" archetype that is not named after a historical military leader or an event referring to the end of the world, as there are many leaders who inherited the mantle of "Kaiser".
      • However, this monster is likely based on the conqueror Kaiser, Charlemagne, the first ruler of the Carolingian Empire which included all of modern France and Germany.
      • Alternatively, the "Kaiser" this monster is based on might be Otto I, the creator and first ruler of the Holy Roman Empire, which united all of the German tribes into one kingdom.
  • This monster's design is based on the Roman emperors, who were often referred to as "Casear", the Latin word that "Kaiser" is derived from.
    • Parts of this monster's armor resemble a paludamentum and cingulum militare, armor pieces worn by Roman military leaders. Roman emperors were also often referred to as Imperator, meaning supreme military leader, and many of them were generals before coming into power.
    • This monster's headpiece resembles a corona civica, originally a military decoration in the Roman Republic given to Romans who had saved the lives of their fellow citizens. It eventually became a symbol of imperial authority as all Roman emperors were awarded a corona civica by the Senate and began to appear on their coinage.
