  • Denglong (simplified Chinese: 蹬龙; traditional Chinese: 蹬龍), or Wangtianhou (Chinese: 望天吼), Chaotianhou (Chinese: 朝天吼), or simply Hou (Chinese: ) is a Chinese legendary creature.
    • Legend has it that Denglong is one of the sons of the Dragon King, and has the habit of guarding. Used on Huabiaos, it symbolizes sending the will of heaven to humans, and delivering the conditions of the people to the heavens.
  • This monster appears in the artwork of "Nine Pillars of Yang Zing".
  • This monster may be a merged form of "Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing" and "Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing", which is also fitting once their combined Levels match the Level of this card.
    • Its general appearance, the golden color scheme and the fact it is a LIGHT Tuner monster hint it may also be an grown-up version of "Chiwen".
  • This is the first "Yang Zing" Tuner Synchro Monster.
  • This is the first Yang Zing monster, as well as the first Tuner Synchro Monster, to be become Forbidden, though only in the TCG.
  • This card is the first "Yang Zing" Synchro Monster that shares the 0 ATK or DEF pattern of the non-Synchro "Yang Zing" monsters.
    • This card has the highest DEF of all "Yang Zing" monsters.
      • This card has the highest DEF of all Level 5 or lower Effect Monsters.
