"Kagemusha of the Six Samurai":
  • This is the first Tuner monster of "The Six Samurai" Archetype.
  • This monster's armor and spear are similar those of "The Six Samurai - Yariza".
    • Given that his Japanese name means "Impersonator of The Six Samurai", his lower-quality armor may reflect it being a copy of the original monster.
    • "Kagemusha" can also translate to "body double", which explains its effect that allows it to change the target of an effect from another Six Samurai to this card.
  • This monster may be "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame", as the blue flame is the symbol of "Great Shogun Shien", especially how "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame's" name in Japanese uses the same kanji 「影武者」 with 「かげむしゃ」 as furigana.
    • Additionally, this card has the same hair and pants color as "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame".
    • This monster's posture is also the mirror image of "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame".
    • Furthermore, both monsters are Level 2 EARTH attributes, and the Japanese name for "Kagemusha of the Blue Flame" is "Shien's Impostor".
  • This card, like the other Six Samurai, may also have been inspired by Akira Kurosawa's movie, "Kagemusha" , which is about a daimyo who finds a body double to impersonate him. The daimyo in the movie is inspired by Takeda Shingen, which sounds a little like Shien although uses different characters.
  • The character in this card may be the same as Shadow of the Six Samurai - Shien, since both monsters have the same color hair, and Shadow of the Six Samurai - Shien, appears to be Kagemusha of the Blue Flame impersonating Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En.
    • This card also shares a similar appearance to Kageningen, of whom is a Level 2 DARK monster using both a physical form, as well as a shadow form, adding to the element of Kagemusha possibly being Shadow of the Six Samurai - Shien.
  • The Spanish STOR lore of this card had the "instead" word translated as "en cambio" instead of "en su lugar". This was corrected in further printings. A similar issue happened in early prints of the card "Macro Cosmos".
