- The number "04" appears on this monster's right claw.
- Like many "Number" monsters with numbers below 10, this card's number matches its Rank.
- This card's neutral form resembles a polyp, a stage in the lifecycle of jellyfish.
- This card's effect to continuously Special Summon copies of itself and "Stealth Kragen" monsters from the Graveyard after being destroyed is based on the transdifferentiation process of the Turritopsis dohrnii, which is also known as the "immortal jellyfish". This particular species of jellyfish is known for being the only species in the animal kingdom to reverse its biotic cycle by reverting to a younger polyp in response to physical damage.
- This card's OCG/TCG effect to change the Attributes of all monsters on the field to WATER is based on "Jelly Rain", a Spell Card that was used with this card by Chironex in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL episode 115: "Tentacles of Terror, Part 2".
