- This card appears as the primary antagonist of the video game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, roughly a year before its OCG release.
- The three colored orbs inside "Reshef the Dark Being" in this card's artwork are the three "Egyptian Gods" that he absorbed.
- By inputting a certain password in-game, Reshef takes on the appearance of Goemon Impact.
- Reshef, more commonly known as Resheph (also Reshep, Rashap, etc.), was a war deity originally worshipped by Eblaites and Canaanites, and was adopted into ancient Egyptian religion in the late Bronze Age during the Eighteenth Dynasty (c. late fifteenth century BCE).
- This card's effect is the same as "Change of Heart", a Spell that was in his deck in Reshef of Destruction.
