  • This card is named after the Gumblar, a type of Trojan horse malware that redirects a user's Google searches and attempts to install fake anti-virus software.
    • The function of the Trojan horse malware is to mislead users of its true intent, which is reflected in this card's effect to make the opponent discard cards. The true intent of the Trojan malware (which includes installing damaging payloads in the user's computer) is also reflected in this card's Extra Link effect, where depleting the opponent's entire hand will cause them to take 3000 damage.
  • This card is the first and currently legal OCG/TCG card that involves Extra Linking.
