Duel Puzzle Solutions (WC11)

In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus, duel puzzles are encountered in the following places:

• Inside the building you use as a "hideout" in Crash Town/Satisfaction Town.
• Inside "Bootleg" bar in New Domino City.

These Duel Puzzles, like the Duel Puzzles of previous games, present you with a Duel scenario where it is your turn and you must win during that turn using only the cards available to you.

Note: All monsters are Summoned or Special Summoned in face-up Attack Position unless stated otherwise.

Crash Town/Satisfaction Town Puzzles

Duel Puzzle 1

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Activate "Raigeki Break", discarding "Steelswarm Caucastag" to destroy "Gravity Bind".
• Activate "Recurring Nightmare", selecting "Steelswarm Caucastag" and "Steelswarm Sentinel".
• Activate "Double Summon".
• Normal Summon "Steelswarm Sentinel".
• Tribute Summon "Steelswarm Caucastag" by Tributing both "Steelswarm" monsters.
• Activate the first effect of "Steelswarm Caucastag" when prompted, destroying all monsters your opponent controls.

BP (Battle Phase):

• Attack for game.

Completion reward: 200 DP.

Duel Puzzle 2

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Activate the effect of "Gishki Vanity" and discard it. (Now your opponent can't activate "Bottomless Trap Hole".)
• Activate "Gishki Ceremonial Mirror", Tributing "Gishki Abyss" and "Evigishki Mind Augus" to Ritual Summon "Evigishki Soul Ogre".
• Activate the effect of "Evigishki Soul Ogre", discarding "Gishki Erial" to return "Scrap Goblin" to your opponent's Deck.

BP (Battle Phase):

• Attack for game.

Completion reward: 400 DP.

Duel Puzzle 3

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Normal Summon "Gusto Gulldo".
• Activate a copy of "Thunder Crash". After it resolves, activate the effect of the destroyed "Gusto Gulldo" when prompted, Special Summoning "Gusto Skwirl" from your Deck.
• Activate "Thunder Crash". After it resolves, activate the effect of the destroyed "Gusto Skwirl" to Special Summon "Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto" from your Deck.
• Activate "Limit Reverse", selecting "Gusto Skwirl".
• Activate the effect of "Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto", returning "Gusto Egul" from your hand to the bottom of your Deck to switch control of "Gusto Skwirl" and "Archfiend Zombie-Skull".

BP (Battle Phase):

• Attack for game.

Duel Puzzle 4

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Activate "Supervise", equipping it to "Gigaplant".
• Activate "Fine", then Chain the effect of "Naturia Rock", sending the top card of your Graveyard to Special Summon it.
• When "Fine" resolves, discard "Spore" and "Naturia Bamboo Shoot".
• Activate the effect of "Gigaplant", Special Summoning "Naturia Bamboo Shoot" from your Graveyard.
• Activate the effect of "Genex Ally Birdman", returning "Naturia Bamboo Shoot" to your hand to Special Summon it.
• Tribute Summon "Naturia Bamboo Shoot" by Tributing "Naturia Rock". (Now your opponent can't activate Trap Cards.)
• Activate the effect of "Spore" in your Graveyard, removing "Cursed Fig" from play to Special Summon "Spore" and increase its Level by 1.
• Synchro Summon "Red Dragon Archfiend" using "Spore" and "Gigaplant" as Synchro Material Monsters. The effect of "Supervise" will activate afterwards; select "Gigaplant" for its effect.

BP (Battle Phase):

• Attack a "Marshmallon" with "Red Dragon Archfiend". (After damage calculation, all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls will be destroyed by the effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend".)

Duel Puzzle 5

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Activate "Aegis of Gaia", gaining 3000 Life Points.
• Normal Summon "Gale Dogra".
• Activate the effect of "Gale Dogra", paying 3000 Life Points to send "Shooting Star Dragon" from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard.
• Activate "Miracle Synchro Fusion", removing from play "General Grunard of the Ice Barrier" on your field and "Shooting Star Dragon" from your Graveyard to Fusion Summon "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste". (Now your opponent will take any damage that you would have taken from the effect of "Curse of Darkness" each time you activate a Spell Card.)
• Activate "Burial from a Different Dimension", selecting your removed from play "Scrap Goblin", "Scrap Beast" and "Shooting Star Dragon".
• Activate "Pot of Benevolence", selecting "Scrap Goblin" and "Scrap Beast" in your Graveyard.
• Activate the effect of "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste", selecting "Shooting Star Dragon" in your Graveyard.
• Activate the new effect of "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste", revealing the top 5 cards of your Deck. Since all 5 cards in your Deck are Tuner monsters, this will allow it to attack 5 times this turn.

• Synchro Summon "Junk Warrior" using "Junk Synchron" and "Speed Warrior" as Synchro Material Monsters. Its effect will activate, increasing its ATK by 800.

BP (Battle Phase):

• Attack "Goyo Guardian" with "Junk Warrior".
• Attack with "Quillbolt Hedgehog" for game.

Duel Puzzle 4

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Activate "Brain Control", paying 800 Life Points to select "XX-Saber Gottoms". After you take control of it, change it to Defense Position.
• Activate "Foolish Revival", selecting a "Shiny Black "C"" in your opponent's Graveyard.
• Activate "Karma Cut", discarding "Fabled Lurrie" to remove from play "Shiny Black "C"". After "Karma Cut" resolves, the effect of "Fabled Lurrie" will activate, Special Summoning itself.
• Normal Summon "Synchro Fusionist".
• Activate "Emergency Teleport", Special Summoning "Krebons" from your Deck.
• Synchro Summon "Magical Android" using "Krebons", "Fabled Lurrie" and "Synchro Fusionist" as Synchro Material Monsters. When prompted, activate the effect of "Synchro Fusionist", adding "Miracle Synchro Fusion" from your Deck to your hand.
• Activate "Miracle Synchro Fusion", removing from play "Magical Android" on your side of the field and "Krebons" from your Graveyard to Fusion Summon "Ultimate Axon Kicker".

BP (Battle Phase):

• Attack "Black-Winged Dragon" with "Ultimate Axon Kicker". The effect of "Ultimate Axon Kicker" will activate afterwards, gaining you 2800 Life Points.

M2 (Main Phase 2):

• Activate "Dimension Fusion", paying 2000 Life Points to Special Summon "Magical Android" and "Krebons".
• Synchro Summon "Dark Strike Fighter" using "Krebons" and "Magical Android" as Synchro Material Monsters.
• Activate the effect of "Dark Strike Fighter" 3 times, Tributing all monsters you control (Tributing "Dark Strike Fighter" last).
• Activate "Wicked Rebirth", paying 800 Life Points to Special Summon "Dark Strike Fighter" from your Graveyard.
• Activate the effect of "Dark Strike Fighter", Tributing itself for game.

Duel Puzzle 5

M1 (Main Phase 1):

• Activate "Limit Impulse", sending "Dandylion" and "Ally of Justice Core Destroyer" from your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon 2 "Soul Tokens". After "Limit Impulse" resolves, the effect of "Dandylion" will activate, Special Summoning 2 "Fluff Tokens". (Make sure you control at least 2 Attack Position Tokens.)
• Activate "Allure of Darkness" to draw 2 cards and remove "Gravi-Crush Dragon" from play.
• Activate "Nightmare Archfiends", Tributing a Token to Special Summon 3 "Nightmare Archfiend Tokens" to your opponent's side of the field.
• Special Summon "Lava Golem" from your hand by Tributing 2 of your opponent's "Nightmare Archfiend Tokens".
• Activate "Enemy Controller", using the 2nd effect and Tributing a Token to take control of a "Nightmare Archfiend Token".
• Special Summon "Spell Striker" from your hand by removing from play any Spell Card from your Graveyard.
• Activate "Scroll of Bewitchment", equipping it to Lava Golem and declaring LIGHT.
• Activate "Escape from the Dark Dimension", selecting "Gravi-Crush Dragon".
• Activate "Leeching the Light", selecting "Lava Golem".

• Activate the effect of "Worm Queen", Tributing it to Special Summon "Worm Illidan" from your Deck (1st Illidan: 1 counter, 2nd Illidan: 0).
• Set, then activate "Viper's Rebirth", selecting "Reptilianne Gardna" in your Graveyard (1st Illidan: 2 counters, 2nd Illidan: 1).

• Synchro Summon "Arcanite Magician" using "Magidog" and "Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi"" as Synchro Material Monsters. Choose to activate the effect of "Magidog" (after "Arcanite Magician" is Summoned), selecting "Geartown".
• Set "Geartown".
• Activate the effect of "Arcanite Magician" twice, removing its 2 Spell Counters to destroy "Gravity Bind" and "Dimensional Prison".
• Activate "De-Synchro", selecting "Arcanite Magician", and Special Summon all of its Synchro Material Monsters when prompted.
• The effect of "Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi"" will activate; select "Shield Wing" for its effect.
• Synchro Summon "Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X "Bureido"" using "Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi"" and "Cyber Dragon" as Synchro Material Monsters.
• When prompted, activate the effect of "Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X "Bureido"", Special Summoning "Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi"" from your Deck.
• The effect of "Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi"" will activate; select itself for its effect.
