Event Details[edit]
Floor Progression[edit]
Throughout the event, the player will earn points from Dueling, which is represented by a graphic of a chibi Yugi Muto descending through a virtual dungeon. For each point the player earns, Yugi will descend 1 floor. Points are awarded regardless of victory or defeat, with more points awarded for victories, but no points awarded for surrenders or for Dueling against The Vagrant. The points awarded are as follows:
Duel | Victory | Loss |
---|---|---|
Standard Duelist(s) | 4 | 1 |
The Vagabond | 20 | 10 |
Legendary Duelist(s) | 5 | 2 |
Ranked Duels | 15 | 5 |
KC Cup / WCS | 15 | 5 |
These earned points can also be supplemented by the player's Friend Score, which is added to the player's point total every time they earn points through Dueling. A player's Friend Score is daily determined by the number of Friends that player has, who are also earning points in this event that day, with new days starting at 00:00 (EST).[Notes 1] However, a player's Friend Score cannot be any higher than 10.
When the event begins however, players are initially restricted by the number of floors they can descend. The first day of this event only allows players to descend to B100, with this floor number being increased by 100 on each subsequent day starting at 00:00 (EST).[Notes 1]
Treasure Boxes[edit]
As the player "descends" through the virtual dungeon, they will encounter various Treasure Boxes (max. 1 per floor). Gold Treasure Boxes will be encountered at pre-determined floors, with pre-determined rewards. Silver Treasure Boxes are randomly encountered, with their rewards dependent on the floor range they were encountered on. Occasionally, a Silver Treasure Box may turn out to be a Heart Treasure Box, whereupon a random Friend will also be awarded the Treasure Box's reward (deposited in their Gift Box). If the player's Friend List is not full, it is possible for that reward to be sent to a random player instead. This is presumably a way of encouraging Friends, as players who are sent a Heart Treasure Box's reward will be notified of the reward and of who sent the reward (along with a Friend Request option, if applicable).
Silver Treasure Boxes[edit]
In all of the "Duel Quest" events, rewards could be received from Silver Treasure Boxes found on certain floor ranges, with 1 reward per Treasure Box.
Four sets of possible rewards are documented below. The current version was first used in the January 2021 run, the third version was only used during the Nov-Dec 2020, the second version was used from the March 2020 run to the November 2020 run, while the first version was used on the March 2019 run and the instances before it. Secret floors[edit]
In certain instances of this event, winning (including in a DRAW) against an specific Duelist a certain number of times can make secret floors appear to the player, regardless of their current position. These contain special rewards, and will return the player to their previous position after they are cleared. Even if there are multiple secret floors available of the same Duelist, each Duel against that Duelist will count towards the progress of only one of them.
Event Bonuses[edit]
During this event, there are a few "bonus time periods" where the player can accelerate their progress in the event, as well as possibly earn better rewards.

Trivia[edit]
- This event is visually based on the Konami video game King's Valley.
- The appearance of the chibi Yugi in this event appears to be based on the figurine appearance of Katsuya Jonouchi during the Monster World story arc in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.
- When the player earns 22 or more points in a single instance, the chibi Yugi will descend through floors in freefall until it reaches its destination floor.
- When the player earns 50 or more points in a single instance, the chibi Yugi will enter a "secret door" and re-emerge through another door at its destination floor, similar to a warp.
- In the November 2018 iteration of this event, the SR Ticket listed the following cards as "Recommended for beginners!": "Stim-Pack", "Gil Garth", "Enemy Controller", "Chaos Command Magician", and "Blue Dragon Summoner".
- In subsequent iterations of this event (up to July 2019), the SR Ticket listed the following instead: "Salamandra", "Revival Jam", "Call of the Mummy", "Heavy Mech Support Platform", and "Toy Magician".
