Forbidden Ruins

The Forbidden Ruins is a temple located in the Valley of the Kings. The ruins are a location used for a pact made by a dark clan. The pact involved sealing DarkNite within the ruins, capable of being Summoned by a member of the pact, possessing all seven of the Millennium Items.

Features[edit]

The ruins contains statues of pharaohs and Millennium Items. Inside a hidden chamber is DarkNite's resting place. A large tablet, with spaces for each Millennium Item is inside this chamber. The ruins also contain drawings on the walls seeming to depict ancient duel monster battles. One of the drawings seems to vaguely resemble Doma, The Angel of Silence. There is also ancient text carved on the walls as well.

The map to the Millennium Items

A millennia after the pact, Heishin managed to come to power after acquiring the Millennium Rod and sought the true power of the Forbidden Ruins.

The Prince finds a map in Simon's room back in the Pharaoh's palace. Using it, Sadin helps him locate the ruins. In the ruins are drawings on a wall that depicts the past and on a different wall, what appears to be a map.

Viewing the drawings, it appears to depict some sort of spell, Sadin ponders if this could be describing one of the Forbidden Items.

Viewing the map, Seto reveals that the map marks the locations of the Millennium Items and reveals the spots in the temple where Heishin has hidden them. He then reveals that he has been secretly following them in search for the Forbidden Ruins himself and theorizes that Heishin has already found this location and used the map to locate the Millennium Items. He then instructs the Prince to defeat the High Mages. Sadin warns the prince to be cautious of Seto.

Forbidden Chamber[edit]

The Forbidden Chamber

The Forbidden Chamber is a hidden chamber inside the Ruins. It can only be opened by descendants of the dark clan.

After the Prince gathered six of the seven Millennium Items and with Seto betraying Heishin, he got all seven. Seto brings him back to the ruins, to destroy them, but revealed his true agenda, to use the Items to fulfill the pact himself, as he shows the Prince a hidden chamber. The Prince and Seto duel over who should take the Items, with the Prince ultimately winning. However, before the Prince could do anything with the Items, Heishin appears and holds Seto hostage, holding a knife to his neck. Claiming to be aware that Seto had planned to betray him, Heishin feigned defeat and let the prince and Seto continue to the Ruins, as Seto was a descendant of the dark clan, required to complete the pact. the Prince was forced to hand over the Items.

Using the Items, Heishin performed the ritual to summon DarkNite. Without the Millennium Items, Heishin had no proof he had complete the pact. DarkNite refused to allow Heishin to command him and turned Heishin into a card and burned it.

Using the Millennium Item Cards, the Prince held DarkNite back and dueled to put DarkNite to rest. The Prince won, but DarkNite transformed into Nitemare and forced another Duel. The Prince defeats Nitemare, sealing away his evil for good.

Afterwards, Seto has vanished from the ruins and the Prince ordered the ruins to be buried.
