I have Magical Citadel (one counter) and Defender (1 counter) and another spellcaster on the my side of the field and my opponent summon Black rose dragon and blows up the field. Can i use defender's effect to save the spell casters or does Citadel use them first to save themselves. Could i save the spell casters and let citadel die. Is it a issue over mandatory effect then optional or is it player controlling said cards gets to choose which order effects chain. From Yigiter007 04:53, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Note that if you use Defender, the Magical Knight's effect must MUST save all Spellcasters from destruction. So you can removed the 2 counters from Magical Citadel of Endymion and Defender, the Magical Knight and prevent the destruction of your 2 Spellcasters. I get that. But my question is which effect takes away the counters first because there isn't enough counters to supply both effect I.E. Saving the spell casters with defender and citadel saving itself. So Defender saves the two spell casters and then citadel is left empty and can't save its self and dies ? OR Citadel saves its self and then defender cant save the spellcaster's because there is not enough counters on the field. from Yigiter007 18:00, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
- You can only apply one effect. So either "Magical Citadel of Endymion" survives, or your Spellcasters survive. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 18:50, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
