Forum:A Different Approach to Blackwings

I figured I should try my hand at a different sort of Blackwing deck, even though I hate them so much. This set-up involves combining Solidarity and Mystic Plasma Zone to beat down my opponent's mercilessly. In other words, if I have these two Spell Cards out, Bora becomes a 3000 automatically! Frightening, isn't it?

This Blackwing deck is more based around smashing the oppontn with one or two huge monsters rather than a full swarm. The main combo, as explained earlier, gives all of my monsters a +1300 boost.

I really see no need to explain any of the monsters... I'm sure everyone out there is familer with how a Black Feather deck runs it's monster line-up.

As for Spells, Solidarity and Mystic Plasma Zone increase the ATK power of my Black Feathers, which is what the sole point of this deck is. Black Whirlwind searches stuff, and Allure is standard draw power. Cold Wave, Mystical Space Typhoon and Giant Trunade help me push for the win with a 4000 ATK point Blackwing, and Dark Eruption reuses Kalut, Gale, and Blizzard. Big Bang Shot may seem unorthodox, but it helps give a Blackwing trample and a 400 ATK point bonus, when Bora isn't around.

Traps: Icarus is handy chainable removal, and Call and Solemn are staples. Delta Crow - Anti Reverse can help sweep out my opponent's back row, or force them to chain.

I'm not trying to make this the same as every other Black Feather deck. I already considered Mistral, but since this is a Beatdown Deck, I don't need it as much. Even when combined with Solidarity and Mystic Plasma Zone, Mistral only becomes a 1500. That's not what I'm looking for. I also don't need Brain Control or Mind Control, because like I said, I won't be Synchroing as much as other Black Feather decks. Also, please don't just put "needs improvement". If you think it does, then please add your suggestions in as well. Remember, the point of this deck isn't to control the duel, it's to attack mercilessly.

if you're thinking beatdown, you could remove big bang for double summons, to swarm. and possibly add some elphins to go with double. this would give you a 2200+800+500=3500 atk monster :D 220.255.7.106 07:56, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Eh, many Blackwings have the double summon effect built in. But Elphin can be fun. Especially if its effect flips a face-down DEF monster into ATK mode. Runer5h 17:38, November 21, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
