1. Can you negate the summon of "Elemental Hero Wildheart" or "Tenkabito Shien" with Trap Cards?

2. Can you use "Soul Exchange" and Tribute your opponent's only monster to Normal Summon "Evil Hero Malicious Edge" with 1 Tribute?

3. Can you activate "Bottomless Trap Hole" to destroy an opponent's monster whilst "Imperial Iron Wall" is face-up on the field?

4. What cards that can be only activated when an opponent's monster declares an attack that don't target, other than "Mirror Force"?

5. Do both effects of "Caius the Shadow Monarch" activate at the same time if a DARK monster is removed from play?

  • The only one I can answer is #4: "Dark Mirror Force" and "Radiant Mirror Force" are others, to my knowledge, although this could constitute a non-answer since they are of the "Mirror Force" theme. I can't answer the others; sorry. :( Danny Lilithborne 18:15, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
For question #3 the answer is no because you cannot activate any cards that would resolve in the card being removed from play (and to stop an future question, no the monster wouldn't be sent to the graveyard instead of being removed from play). --Trivi-AM 18:36, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
I think it's possible to chain "Imperial Iron Wall" to "Bottomless Trap Hole" and have the result end up that way, though. Danny Lilithborne 21:07, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Takeishi 19:13, October 22, 2009 (UTC) 1. the summon of both monsters cannot be negated.

2. you can use one tribute because of Evil Hero Malicious Edge effect.

3. bottomless trap hole could'nt be activated

4. Ordeal of a Traveler, Negate Attack, A Hero Emerges.

5. I dont understand what you mean by "both effects" but Caius only deals damages for the card you removed by its effect

Firstly, Negate Attack does target. Secondly, I thought that Bottomless could be activated as it designates the target as destroyed as well as removed from play. Thirdly, I thought you would be able to negate the summon of Wildheart and Tenkabito Shien will Trap Cards, since they can be destroyed by Crush Card Virus and Deck Devastation Virus whilst they are not face-up on the field. Lastly, by both effects of Caius, I mean removing the DARK monster from play and dealing the damage. 88.111.172.234 08:37, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

1) The Summons of both those monsters can be negated. They are only immune to Traps while they are face-up on the field. When "Solemn Judgment", etc, negates the Summon, the monster is not considered to be face-up on the field yet, so you do not apply Continuous Effects.
2) As above.
3) See Card Rulings:Bottomless Trap Hole:
Cards like "Bottomless Trap Hole" and "Nobleman of Crossout" cannot be activated while "Imperial Iron Wall" is active. If you activate "Bottomless Trap Hole" and "Imperial Iron Wall" is chained, the destroyed monster is sent to the Graveyard instead of being removed from play. If you activate "Nobleman of Crossout" and "Imperial Iron Wall" is chained, the face-down monster is destroyed and is sent to the Graveyard instead of being removed from play, but the effect that removes Flip Effect monsters in the Deck from play is not applied.
4) Try the clones of "Mirror Force": "Dark Mirror Force", "Radiant Mirror Force", "Justi-Break", "Froggy Forcefield", "Blast Held by a Tribute", and "Wall of Thorns". Also, "Widespread Ruin".
5) "Caius the Shadow Monarch" has one effect that both removes from play and (possibly) inflicts damage. It starts one Chain Link. Both parts are considered to resolve simultaneously.
