I Synchro Summon Arcanite Magician. So the Trigger Effect is activated, he gets 2 Spell Counters. Then, can I use the priority to use it's effect before my foe activates Bottomless Trap Hole?

Also, in Bottoless Rulings says this: "This card can only be activated when the last thing that resolved in the Duel was the opponent Normal/Flip/Special Summoning a monster(s). It cannot be activated at any other time."

I assume that the Trigger Effect of Arcanite Magician does not count as last thing resolved. Or it counts and Bottomless cannot be used against Arcanite? Maximusheaven (talkcontribs) 18:21, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

The last thing Arcanite Magician resolved was to put on counter, you got no chance to activate his- her effect to blast the card off the field. Same idea with Breaker the Magical Warrior. --FredCat 18:23, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

your opponent can't activate bottomless. AM has 400 attack and gaining counters starts a chain and is automaticly activated after the summon. The counters are placed at effect resolution, so when it gains the attack it is already too late for bottomless.

You can only activate bottomless against breaker because he has 1500+ attack even without counters. -dest- (talkcontribs) 19:33, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

<Censor> this! Earlier the judge from this site (ever closer to rank of Admin) said it's possible, but now it's not. Was my memory gone horrible wrong or what? --FredCat 20:32, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

bottomless & co musst be activated in the chain directly in response to the summon. The chain consists of:

1 - attempt to gain counters
it has 400 attack at this time so bottomless cant be chained
resolve - 1 - gain counters + gain attack

and now the chain is over and no chance for bottomless anymore. -dest- (talkcontribs) 00:40, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, the judge from past told me that Counter automatic placed on her... so I guess I should take your word for this one. --FredCat 00:46, April 27, 2011 (UTC)
