Hello, I am really wondering about the negating of effect that happens to a monster while it is on a field, then it is destroyed and exists in the graveyard. Is its effect still negated for the rest of the duel? or there is a way that its effect could return to work again. The example, would be...

1) Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World that was destroyed by Revived King Ha Des by battle. Would the effect of Grapha which is now in the graveyard be negated and cannot special summons itself for the rest of the duel?

2)Lightpulsar Dragon that was destroyed by the Revived King Ha Des by battle, so it effects are negated. Can it special summons itself from the graveyard using it own effect? (which the user can send 1 light and 1 dark monster from his hand to the graveyard to special summon it)

In my opinion, I think that the effect of the Lightpulsar Dragon in 2) might still be negated as long as it is in the graveyard, but is there anyway could reset the effect being negated? (For instance, Lightpulsar Dragon is then banished and special summoned from banished zone) Thank you in advance for your time in clarifying me this issue. See Card Rulings:Dark Ruler Ha Des. The effects of both of them are practically the same. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:40, May 5, 2013 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) See the OCG rulings for "Dark Ruler Ha Des" for verification. Question #1 is correct, but only if stays in the Graveyard for the rest of the Duel; if it leaves the Graveyard at any point, then its effects will no longer be negated, even if it later returns to the Graveyard (except after it is destroyed by battle with "Dark Rule Ha Des"). For the 2nd question, the same ruling applies to it. However, your opponent will also be unable to try to Special Summon it, meaning they cannot send 1 DARK and 1 LIGHT from their hand to the Graveyard to try to Special Summon the Dragon. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:42, May 5, 2013 (UTC)
