Forum:Card in Marik's hand (Episode 140)

In episode 140 of the English dub, a shot of Marik's hand before he plays Revival Jam consists of "Jam Defender", "Polymerization", "Granadora" (called Swallowtail Spike Lizard), a card I don't recognize, "Beckon to Darkness", "The Mask of Remnants" and "Revival Jam".

Does anybody have any idea what the unknown card is?

No idea, but you can see that it's a spell card. Maybe try and match it to a spell he uses? IPlay4Fun (talkcontribs) 09:36, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I looked at all the spell cards he uses and couldn't match the artwork. Notdoppler (talkcontribs) 09:40, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

I think the card is Class System

Ah yes thanks, I initially dismissed it because part of the figure's cape looked like a sword, but now I realize. Notdoppler (talkcontribs) 10:29, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Do you have a picture of the Japanese version of the episode? I cannot tell what any cards are with the 4Kids crappy edits.

lol Kain, remember, the Japanese version has the actual looking cards, with border and all, it would only be harder to see.--Helix-king (talkcontribs) 16:32, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

I know what you mean, for example the card changes between the Japanese and the dub of Yami Marik's duel with Bakura is terribly inconsistent. In this case, the dub seems to change all of Marik's hand cards from the Japanese with some cards used by Bakura, even though Marik appeared to be unfamiliar with the cards when Bakura used them. At one point, Marik sets a card which wasn't in his hand before he set it! Notdoppler (talkcontribs) 18:57, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Speaking of which, can anyone identify the Normal monster in Marik's hand from this shot of episode 96, the Japanese (sorry for uploading images)? In the English it's replaced by The Earl of Demise but all of his hand cards in this part are changed anyway.

It's probably drillago or something.--Helix-king (talkcontribs) 19:21, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

No he already had it on the field at this point. Notdoppler (talkcontribs) 19:22, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
NVM, I thought Drillago was a normal in the anime, i think it's Melchid, the four faced beast.--Helix-king (talkcontribs) 19:23, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
Lol, not sure, but this was after Bakura played Multiple Destruction, and Melchid was actually in his hand before this. It's possible he had two of either it or Drillago in his Deck, but it doesn't match either (it might match Drillago's TCG/OCG artwork, but in the anime it is different). Notdoppler, in the future, please just link us to imgur or another filesharing site. Otherwise, we have to keep deleting the pictures you upload from here. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:29, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for informing me. Notdoppler (talkcontribs) 19:32, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
