Forum:Collector's Question: Release Dates

Hello. I am getting back into collecting the TCG cards as my brother is now old enough to learn how to play. My question is regarding release dates. I have not bought any new cards in the last 4 years or so. Is there a page somewhere with a chronological release order of sets including 1st Edition and Unlimited? The way I have my binders set up now is by date, and set name as in the case of SDK and SDY being released simultaneously. I am interested in TCG tournament legal cards only. I am in Canada and bought the first McDonald's promo set online.

Well, if you search for the appropriate booster pack or deck, I'm pretty sure there's a release date of it about halfway down the page, however I do not believe that I have seen any such page that you are looking for. Hope that helps. OsmiuMap - You have no new messages. 19:01, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

If you go to Booster Pack and expand the TCG box at the bottom, they give them in order. The main booster packs are on the left hand side, with the other types in the following columns. The order they go in within the year is the same as the order they came out in, I think.

Thankies. That's a start at least in booster order of release. I noticed some didn't have dates and such while I was perusing earlier. I hope I can compile the list I'd like and have cards in order of release.

I have one page in my binder with a list up to The Movie with most of the dates. Between Metal Raiders 1st Edition and Metal Raiders unlimited I have Tournament Pack 1.

Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon 1st Edition I have a date of March 06 2002 although this site says March 08. I have the unlimited release date of LOB as March 20, after the Unlimited SDY and SDK released 2 days before, and Dark Duel Stories 2 days before that.

Basically I would like to keep my binder in chronological order so and when I get cards from the years I missed I can just put them into binders and not have to worry about shifting all my cards back and forth in the binder pages.

I would greatly appreciate any help from retailers and tournament organizers that have kept records of product release dates and tournament packs, promos, etc.
