heh, It's been a long time since I've used this. Thanks to the September list giving us back a Chain Strike, I decided to dust off my Quick Burn cards and give one of my favorite decks a well-deserved revamp. If you don't know the basic goal of the deck, it's basically to fling as many burn effects as humanly possible at your opponent's face until they stop moving. It seems to be working quite well so far, but I'd like to see what you guys think of it.

The "D-" is just how I name my decks. I just use "D - 8 Characters". heh, My deck names look like Battle Chips sometimes...

I know, I play the Battle Network/Star Force games too. Wish they could give more character space...

The deck can use more Threatening Roars in place of Dimension Wall. Magic Cylinder isn't that chainable either, if your opponent greets you with ST destruction. Maybe throw in a couple of Lava Golems to keep your opponent's monster count under watch, Marshmallon for bonus burn and stall, a Des Koala or two for extra burn, and Morphing Jar, seeing that you'll often be setting/using your STs and hence be left with a mostly empty hand. You can also afford to take out Ookazi and Tremendous Fire too.

Anyway, best of luck with your deck. --Gadjiltron 04:36, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Everything Gadjiltron said except for Tremendous Fire and Magic Cylinder. And calculating draw power with burn and assessing the vulnerability that comes along with it in this deck... you will run out of opportunities. So, follow this and the above suggestion. Thanks for your suggestions, guys.

I've decided to cut Dimension Wall and Ookazi, and added a third Threatening Roar, but now I'm kinda walled by what to put in the last few slots. If I'm able to get a few runs with it in today, I'll try out a few combinations and see if I like anything... DemonDizzle 13:05, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Is valley limited? If not try to add 1 more and sangan to search for it . Machine duplication can help ur deck as well. Personally , I hate fire trooper as i dont like its effect dimensional wall is gd when ur monster died . i dont really like tremendous fire . U may like to add the card which summon 2 dark token( frm phatom darkness, i forgot the name...) or even dandylion. Ceasefire is also not very practical as u hardly have monster to place facedown while ur opponent may not even place any too. U may wan to add apprentice magician wif crystal seer and old vindictive to draw or destroy ur opponent monster. Jinzo and royal degree will huant tis deck as is negates ur burning so u may wan to add fissure or cards tat destroy monester and traps. User: Crystal88884 01:30, 1 Sept 2008(UTC)
    • Objection to the point on Ceasefire. Even though it may not be able to flip many things up, it still will deal the burn damage for each effect monster present. This is the main reason why Ceasefire is in the Deck - it can do an earthbreaking amount of damage if the opponent likes to swarm with his effect monsters (Six Samurai, for instance), up to 5000. Also, while it is good to take out whatever that may cripple, this form of burn is not removal-friendly as it often relies on Secret Barrel and Just Desserts for the bulk of damage. Fire Trooper is pretty much a one-shot 1000 LP Burn, which is pretty good considering that most other one-shot Burn cards have a slight drawback too. Not to mention it can kick off a Chain as well. --Gadjiltron 07:44, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
  • If their are no facedown monsters can u active ceasefire ? If can then add it to the deck if not then up to u to risk. Fire trooper is good but u will hav 1 less monster on ur field just for 1000 dmg. Unless u hav cards to prevent attack from ur opponent, then fire trooper is too risky. • 3 Threatening Roars should be enough stall for this end. Throw in the can't-be-killed-by-battle monsters and you're more or less okay. And yes, you can activate Ceasefire even when everything's face-up. That's why it's a must in Burn. Even better, chain it to the activation of Fire Trooper's effect for a bonus 500 damage. --Gadjiltron 14:45, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
  • Omg I just got scammed out of ceasefire effect sry for asking u to remove ceasefire. I didnt know it can be used when all cards are face up too... My friend refuse to let me use it during my past duel as he said ceasefire cost is the flipping thus it is a must for facedown monster... Furthermore, the ruling for ceasefire is all in japanese thus i dont understand... Crystal88884 13:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Wow, thanks for all the help so far, guys. I've tried a few things out, and so far, the combination I like the most is 1 Lava Golem and 2 Des Koala. What has especially surprised me is how well Des Koala has done in my duels. It walled a lot more stuff than I thought it would, and ended up landing 1600 on average, on top of starting a Chain if I need it. Marshmallon would be the safer pick, but I'm still thinking of sticking with this instead. - DemonDizzle 09:59, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Can post ur new deck ? Crystal88884 05:47, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, sorry, forgot to last time. I've also added my first real attempt at a Side Deck:

So far, my duels have ended with a win on an average of turn 3. 5 without any extra draws seems to be the farthest I can take it before things begin to look really bleak. The Side is still untested, but looks pretty good to me. DemonDizzle 12:09, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
