Forum:Dark Diviner VS Qliphort

Should Dark Diviner declare an attack while the other player has an ATK-reducing Qliphort card on a Pendulum Zone (let's say it is Qliphort Helix), does Dark Diviner retain the same ATK as his target (given that the target has higher ATK) during damage calculation or is that value reduced by 300?

Yes it does. Dark Diviner will be down 300 ATK by default due to Helix's effect but when attacking, it'll then have the same ATK as its attack target if weaker. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 17:47, October 12, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, mister. Since I'd rather not get another topic going I'd like to add one question. If Shrit, Caster of the Necloth is banished from the Graveyard for a Ritual Summon (with Necloth Exomirror, most likely), do I get to add the monster to my hand? I would think that since the last thing to occur is the Ritual Monster being Summoned, you would not get the effect as it would miss the timing.--MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 19:07, October 12, 2014 (UTC)

It is an "if" and not a "when", so I guess it cannot miss the timing. JulianVK (talkcontribs) 19:11, October 12, 2014 (UTC)
