Though I would like to do some new stuff with Blackwings, I can't pass up an excuse to play CBs. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:46, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

Man, a few of these characters have tried out several different archetypes, so the possibilities of Decks to build are wider than normal. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 02:47, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I knowingly posted them, so you guys aren't completely bound to 1 deck. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 04:23, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

got a great plan for a Joey Wheeler Deck. and its fun considering im not using Red-Eyes-Themed for my Deck :D 33royward (talkcontribs) 13:29, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

I could probably throw together a neat Insect Deck for Weevil, though I haven't really played that much recently, so iunno how good it'll be. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 16:00, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

It was between Zane, Akiza, or Crow, but I have a pretty cool idea in mind for Zane. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 23:45, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

I can't seem to make my Joey deck, im switching to Crow-based deck for blackwings 33royward (talkcontribs) 10:13, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

I believe, although I'm not sure, that I will not be here on December 17 and 18. Also, done with my deck... BF2 Talk Deck Guides 17:41, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

Cool, I can't believe that nobody wants to do Joey. I'll give him a shot. I've got a cool idea for it too. NotARealUsername (talkcontribs) 06:02, December 15, 2011 (UTC)

This is probably too late, and I'm sorry about the short notice, but I've been trying and other than a simple Disaster build with Blue-Eyes thrown in, I can't figure out an effective Kaiba deck. I'm sorry, but you'll have to cut me out. --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 04:37, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

I'm gonna have to pull out as well, gonna need to concentrate on matters concerning what I'm going to school-wise, since I decided college isn't working out. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 19:15, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

After SM10 posts, I'll start Voting. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 15:25, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

most are about the same in terms of how great they are and i feel bad not seeing some people not voted for. Killerman3333 (talkcontribs) 14:11, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

Very true, but sadly not everyone on wiki votes, just a few select people, and the maybe the ones that see my General Forum posts. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 14:53, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

Seto Kaiba

Elite Wolf

Basically, this is a Chaos Dragon deck with some of the cards Kaiba used. I think I do need to explain some cards though.

Vorse Raider is one of the main monsters Kaiba has used, plus being a DARK type, it has use with the Chaos monsters and the Virus Cards that I had included. Ego Boost is added so I can utilize the Virus Cards with some of the "weaker" DARK monsters. If Crush Card Virus had been legal, Shrink would have taken it's place (Ego Boost's name was also appropriate for Kaiba). Kaiba utilize the Virus Cards whenever he could, so I had to include it.

It may feel like I'm doing too much, but it does work. Elite Wolf (talkcontribs) 05:06, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

I'll start by flat out telling you, this is not a competitive deck. It does surprisingly well, but I doubt it will ever top nationals or something.

As Yugi said, "Blue-Eyes provides the power, but Red-Eyes provides the potential" and boy does this deck have potential. It's a pretty basic Red-Eyes fusion deck, fusing your cards for either B. Skull Dragon or Meteor B. Dragon, two big beaters that can't be easily toppled, but with some twists to make the opponent wish they hadn't selected you to duel. It follows a pretty anti-meta route:

  • Skill Drain, most decks worst fear
  • Burden of the Mighty, another annoyance to deal with
  • Malefic Stardust Dragon, more as a big beater than anything
  • Viruses, probably the most annoying thing to deal with.

Skill Drain wrecks most effect monsters out there. With this format effect monsters are running rampant, this card stops them cold in their tracks. On your side of the field, you have mostly normal monsters, so you get the brute force of a normal monster with the lols of watching your opponent struggle with their weak "used to have an effect" monster. Watts? No direct attacks for you. Hyper Librarian? No pluses for you. Trishula? No banishing for you. Last ditch Black Rose? No field blowing for you. It ruins most combos, it is absolutely amazing (especially when paired up with Malefics).

Burden of the Mighty, another great card for me. It baits out Mystical Space Typhoons and Heavy Storms, to provide a safer field for your backrow. When it comes down to it, Burden is terribly annoying to deal with, your opponent will struggle. Minimizing big beaters such as Scrap Dragon to 2000 ATK (which can be destroyed by Alexandrite of Dragonute) or the popular Stardust Dragon to 1700 ATK is no laughing joke, the only way your opponent can get around it is to xyz summon, and by then you will have already gained enough advantage to topple it.

Malefic Stardust Dragon is more tech than a staple. He helps protect Fusion Gate and, if needs to be, is a decent, easy-summonable beater. Fusion Gate, while not a win-condition, is a cool take on this deck. It banishes your monsters for pulling back later with Escape or Reincarnation, great combos to pull off two beaters in one turn.

Lastly, the viruses. I feel that this archetype is underrated, but for a good reason. Tributing one of your hard-worked for beaters for an effect? That's madness. It's actually quite possible, Deck Devastation is easy to pull off with Axe Dragonute and Malefic Stardust/Summoned Skull for Eradicator Epedemic. Looking at your opponent's hand isn't that bad, and making them loose advantage is even better. Typically, you'd hit at least one card in your opponent's hand, and continue to look at it for 3 turns.

Wow, hope this wasn't too long. In the end, this deck pulls off big beaters while hampering down your opponent and limiting their options. It's not tier 0, but don't underestimate it. NotARealUsername (talkcontribs) 07:12, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Zane Truesdale

UndiscoveredSong

I tried to actually make most of the deck out of cards Zane has used, so there weren't a ton of options. Basically, the point is to get out Cyberdark Dragon (after getting one of the Synchro Dragons in the Graveyard) to make him super-powerful. The Cyber fusions are a powerful back up, with De-Fusion to prevent Power Bond's damage effect and give ,e a few more attacks. UndiscoveredSong (talkcontribs) 14:44, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Chazz Princeton

Xicokiko

I really liked how fast Chazz could swarm the field with his ojamas, so I made a deck that doesn't stop there, thanks to the new generation of monsters: the XYZ monsters.

A good opening strategy is to set Blue and, when he is destroyed add ojamagic, Red or Country to your hand. Discard ojamagic by ojama country's eff to bring back Blue, which will add Black, Green and Yellow to your hand. Summon Red and use his effect to summon Balck, Green and Yellow, which lets you get Gachi Gachi and Black Mist on the field right away.

You can also use snipe hunter to clear your opponent field and then reduce your opponent to ashes with Daigusto Phoenix. Discard all the ojama brothers with snipe hunter, use tri-wight to bring them back and then play ojama delta hurricane to clear what's left of your opponent's field(assuming there was something left after snipe hunter finished hunting) and then summon Daigusto Phoenix. With this you will be able to inflict 4500 points of damage to your opponent in one turn.

If you already have an XYZ on the field you can always use rescue rabbit to get another one.

Gadjiltron

So, when I looked at what Manjoume has played, there's Armed Dragon, VWXYZ, and Ojamas to choose from. What to do? Build and test the respective Decks and see which runs best. Armed Dragon won out in the end.

So, this Deck takes the usual Armed Dragon strategy in trying to level up the Armed Dragon as fast as possible, but also throws in a Synchro option. General opening strategies is to have Masked Dragon search out Armed Dragon LV3, particularly during the opponent's turn, so that I instantly have an Armed Dragon LV5 ready once my turn rolls around. 3 copies Level Up! are also added to ensure that if I don't get that strategy rolling, at least the LV3 dragons I'm forced to Normal Summon don't become cannon fodder soon. Dandylion and Cyber Dragon also serve as easy Tribute fodder in case I need to Normal Summon LV5.

Delta Flyer is a main component in making Synchros, since it's the only Tuner and it can tweak levels. This means I can consistently make LV6, 7 and 8 Synchro monsters. If I feel like it, I could even combine Delta Flyer with Armed Dragon LV7 to make Trident Dragion and push for a game-ending swing.

LV3 monsters aplenty in this Deck, so I decided to throw in Leviathan Dragon to make quick beatsticks if needed. Volcasaurus is there if I somehow find myself with 2 Armed Dragon LV5s.

Oh, and with the large number of Dragons in this Deck, Koa'ki Meiru Drago can definitely fit in without interrupting many Special Summons, while also letting its decent ATK be potent fuel for any of the Armed Dragons' effects.

...Eh, that's pretty much it for the Deck, I guess. The Spells and Traps are pretty generic stuff. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 03:00, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Well, I never thought I would describe a CB deck as "really good", but this one is. I decided to build it after remembering ruling on Scrap Dragon that says even if it can't destroy one of the cards, it still destroys the other. Rainbow Ruins can't be destroyed while I have 1 CB in my Spell/Trap Zone. You see where I'm going with this?

Pegasus is the most important CB. I usually use him to grab Carbuncle, and then Mammoths (as Tiger is a better topdeck, but Mammoth still works for Abundance), and then Cats after I have enough for the Abundance OTK, but I don't like drawing Cats. I run them anyway because I needed more CBs and they're also a Horn target. The effect is not bad too. Summoner Monk is the best card in the deck; because I run 20 Spells, he's almost always an instant Scrap Dragon. I chose Scap Beast as my level 4 Tuner because it's a Horn target and I can actually use Scrap Dragon's revival effect.

I only play 2 Abundance because it likes me a little too much. I kept drawing it dead. 3 Ruins is needed because it's the other piece of my combo, but only 1 Terraforming because 2 was too much. I draw a lot and I have Dualities, so it works fine. Beacon allows for great Deck Thinning, and it's a backup Scrap Dragon plan if I draw a Scrap Beast (or grab one with my Scrapyard). Blessing fills up for/after Rare Values, for Beacons, and after Abundance. MST isn't really necessary in the deck, but it's necessary so I don't lose to Skill Drain. It's also nice to clear cards out of the way so I can make a Scrap Dragon play. You might think that 3 Rare Value is a little bit too much. And you'd be right, it is. But only a little, and it's critical that I draw into my combo pieces for a Scrap Dragon play as consistently as possible, so it's almost always worth it. Horn of the Phantom Beast gives my CBs some much-needed ATK, and adds more draw power, neither of which I can pass up. Dustshoot wins games.

I typically have lots of Card Advantage due to the fact that CBs don't die, and Scrap Dragon lets me destroy a card for free every turn, and is the main powerhouse of the deck. Massive deck thinning and draw power gives the deck major consistency and speed. The deck works really well. I hope you like it! Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:05, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

This! Think it through for a minute. If you were from the GX era and you were transported to the future, how would you know how to improve your deck? Easy, look at everyone elses! I tried to focus on the LV4 aspect of the CBs, to Xyz summon Rank 4 monsters and do 4+4 Synchro summons, whilst trying to get "Rainbow Dragon", of course.

The Deck is based around Special Summoning for the Synchro and Xyz Summons. There are many combos with this deck, so here are a mere few:

  • "Pegasus" makes it easier to get the CBs, which can be summoned with "Crystal Promise" for an Xyz/Synchro summon.
  • "Carbuncle" can swarm any opponent with CBs which can be used for Synchro/Xyz also.
  • Finally, and my personal favourite method, is the Crystal Abundance Counter, where you overload your S/T Zone with CBs and then Special Summon them all, remove all cards on the field (so "Stardust Dragon" cannot complain) and THEN Special Summon CBs equal to the number of your opponents removed cards. The only downside is, if you don't win in that turn, you lose all your CBs. However, I am happy to say that, since the introduction of Synchros and, especially, Xyz Monsters, their destruction will not be a problem.

So, there you have it! Enjoy. ^_^ --Darkskylarkalexanderx (talkcontribs) 11:16, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Crow Hogan

BF2

I was surprised how well this works. Everything fits. Monk is DARK and an allure target. Falcon is odd...but it's quite useful. It lets me reuse Fiendish Chain which is extremely effective, as well as serve as a target for Dark Simorgh, as well as, most importantly, get over Thunder King Rai-Oh with no loss. Which is awesome. Totally. There's exactly one Dark Grepher, because it's searchable with Summoner Monk. It's pretty useful once, maybe twice, for sending Zephyros (and occasionally Dark Simorgh) to the Graveyard. After that, it's just Xyz fodder. Dark Simorgh is great, often game winning. It's pretty easy to search with Grepher and Lavalval Chain. Reborn Tengu is great for Dark Simorgh, making costless Synchro Summons, or even Xyz Summoning.

Now for the Blackwing portion. The obvious oddity is Kochi. Well...it works. I can't Synchro Summon with it after Special Summoning it with Shura, but I can Special Summon a Bora from my hand and Synchro Summon Stardust/Scrap. I can Xyz Summon with it too, usually for Steelswarm Roach or Lavalval Chain, depending on the deck I'm facing. Gale is pretty obvious, and is probably the best monster in the Deck. Kalut is pretty obvious as well. Zephyros is great here - the synergy it has...Normal Summon Bora, Special Summon Zephyros, Special Summon Bora, attack for 3300, Xyz Summon Chain or Roach...awesome. It can be sent with Grepher and can also return Fiendish Chain and has allowed me to make Vylon Disigma often. Blizzard lets me get Brionac, Orient or Armed Wing. It's pretty obvious that the first two are amazing, but I've really underestimated Armed Wing. In a format where people are just recognizing the power of Spirit Reaper, Armed Wing becomes a way to punish them for it.

Overall...this Deck is a total improvement on the old Blackwing style. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 14:09, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

Soooo... Here is my Blackwing deck having a collaboration of Wind monsters, mainly GUSTA... i mean Gusto. It uses the Blackwing's swarming abilities and the Gusto's floating abilities to have alot of monsters on the field for synchro synchro synchro and xyz xyz xyz. Apparently i actually have 3 Gusto monsters, Gulldo, Kamui and Winda. Winda searches Gulldo and Gulldo searches Winda mainly for some kinda collaboration of floating abilities and whats floating without Reborn Tengu. Blizzard only came to 1 since i dont really have much blackwings and usually removed for Simorgh. Bora for swarm capabilities. Gale is no question. Every blackwing deck should have a Gale. Shura for swarm capabilities from the deck and maybe an instant synchro/xyz. Zephyrus since it can return from the grave and a blackwing. Also maybe bounce a call of the haunted for another round of use. Simorgh is great. It can lock my opponents sets and a great 2700 beater and can be summoned easily because i have Dark and Wind monsters.

Whirlwind for searching capabilities. Avarice and Quill Pen are awesome. They return my floaters to deck for another round and gain advantage like quill pen bouncing pesky monsters and avarice draws cards. Other cards are just Staples. I added some Staple/semi staple Extra Deck cards and some other Extra Deck cards are Armed Wing, Armor Master, Sphreeze, Emeral etc.i think every BW deck has Armed Wing & Armor Master. Sphreeze is awesome. Its eff is similar but much more powerful than Armor Master. Emeral then again returns my floaters for another round.

Well thats all, hope you like my deck. thanks a bunch 33royward (talkcontribs) 08:41, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
