Updated Blackwing Guide

By BF2

In Crimson Crisis, one of the most powerful archetypes ever to enter Yugioh hit the playing field - "Blackwings". They had incredible swarm and search ability, as well as an "Honest" of their own, which in some ways is superior to the original. It's a DARK archetype, enabling the use of "Dark Armed Dragon", "Dark Grepher". They were hit by one banlist after another, first hitting the amazing "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" and "Black Whirlwind", then hitting "Whirlwind" again, and then "Kalut", and finally "Icarus Attack". By this time, the archetype was decimated, but even today it still has potential in the form of Vayu decks.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Lots of Swarm Power: "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" and "Blackwing - Bora the Spear" can Special Summon themselves while you control other "Blackwing" monsters and other "Blackwings" also have swarming ability.

High ATK Power: The best "Blackwing" monsters have high ATK, can be boosted by "Kalut", or can reduce your opponent's monster's ATK scores.

Easy Synchro Summoning: "Blackwing" decks can Synchro Summon Level 6 and 7 Synchro Monsters each turn.

Cons

Blackwing Decks are easy to side against: A "Consecrated Light" totally shuts down "Blackwing" decks.

Mechanics

"Blackwing" decks focus on quick Synchro Summons. "Bora" and "Gale" can both Special Summon themselves while you control other "Blackwings". "Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North" Special Summons another "Blackwing" from your Graveyard. "Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame" Special Summons a "Blackwing" monster from your Deck. "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite" Special Summons itself from your Graveyard. With "Black Whirlwind", you can search for "Blackwing - Breeze the Zephyr" and Special Summon it, although this is no longer as likely to happen due to the limitation of said card.

"Blackwing" decks can also focus on the Graveyard - "Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor" can Synchro Summon from the Graveyard with a Level 5 or higher "Blackwing" monster while "Blackwing - Hillen the Tengu-wind" and "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite" can Special Summon themselves from there.

In the Current Metagame

Currently, "Blackwings" are a very common, albeit not as powerful, deck type. Out of the variants, the Synchro Summoning ones have lost the most - they can no longer Synchro Summon effectively each turn without either three "Gales". On the other hand, with the new format, new potential builds have opened up. Along with the "Grepher" builds which have remained a mid-tier deck, there are fast and powerful "Magical Merchant" builds which can easily create conditions where it is nearly impossible to win multiple times in a turn, allowing them to get over most backrows. In addition to that, there are classic Twilight builds - a mixture of "Lightsworn" and DARK monsters, in this case, "Blackwing". While very inconsistent, Twilight decks are extremely good at putting pressure on the opponent - they have ample destruction as well as easy to play monsters with huge ATK scores. In these decks, "Vayu" and "Sirocco" can really shine - they add to the large arsenal of monsters that the deck can drop easily.

In addition to all that, there is another unexplored "Blackwing" deck that could prove to be devastating: "Blackwing" Xyz. "Blackwing - Bora the Spear" provides excellent Xyz Summoning potential, especially in conjunction with "Black Whirlwind" and "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite". You could add "Summoner Monk" to the mix for more consistency and even more Xyz Summoning potential.

Main Cards

Monsters

  • Blackwing - Abrolhos the Megaquake: "Abrolhos" is one of the worse "Blackwing" monsters, with 2600 ATK and being a Level 8 monster. It requires two tributes and cannot be Special Summoned, which makes it useless in a "Blackwing" deck. Once per turn during your Main Phase you can have it lose 1000 ATK to return all Spell and Trap cards your opponent controls, and any monster that battles it is not destroyed by battle but instead returns to their hand. The effects aren't terrible but it's too costly to be worthwhile.
  • Blackwing - Aurora the Northern Lights: "Aurora" is a Level 10 "Blackwing" monster. It cannot be Special Summoned except by Banishing a face-up "Blackwing" Tuner monster and "Blackwing" non-Tuner monster you control. Once per turn you can Banish a "Blackwing" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck and it becomes that monster until the End Phase. It would be simpler to just Synchro Summon.
  • Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North: "Blizzard" is a Level 2 Tuner monster that Special Summons one Level 4 or lower "Blackwing" monster from your Graveyard when it's Normal Summoned. Every "Blackwing" deck should use three.
  • Blackwing - Bora the Spear: "Bora" is a Level 4 monster with 1700 ATK and piercing. It can Special Summon itself from your hand while you control another "Blackwing" monster. It's a useful beatstick and good for Xyz Summons. Another great card that should use three.
  • Blackwing - Boreas the Sharp: "Boreas" is a Level 5 "Blackwing" monster with 1300 ATK. You can Banish it from your Graveyard to select a "Blackwing" monster you control. That monster cannot be destroyed by battle, you take no battle damage from its battles, and any monster that battles it is destroyed, with all these effects going away during the End Phase. While it's not a bad card, it's more or less a liability in your hand.
  • Blackwing - Breeze the Zephyr: "Breeze" is a Level 3 Tuner monster with 1100 ATK that Special Summons itself from your hand when added from your Deck to your hand. With only one "Black Whirlwind" it has lost it's usefulness although some decks still use it just to have targets for "Shura".
  • Blackwing - Brisote the Tailwind: "Brisote" is a Level 5 monster with 1200 ATK and 1800 DEF. You can Special Summon it from your hand if two or more "Blackwing" monsters you control are destroyed this turn. If it's sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon, you gain 600 Life Points. The effects are too minimal to be useful.
  • Blackwing - Calima the Haze: "Calima" is a Level 4 "Blackwing" monster with 1800 DEF. During your opponent's Battle Phase, if you control no monsters, you can Banish "Calima" from your Graveyard to Special Summon one Synchro Monster from your Graveyard. It's destroyed during the End Phase. It's a nice blocker that can be sent to the Graveyard with "Dark Grepher" or "Magical Merchant" but "Necro Gardna" is considerably more useful.
  • Blackwing - Elphin the Raven: "Elphin" is a Level 6 monster with 2200 ATK. You can Normal Summon it without tributes if you control another "Blackwing" monster. It's useful in Vayu-Norleras decks to make "Armor Master" instead of "Armed Wing" but is a dead draw on its own.
  • Blackwing - Etesian of Two Swords: "Etesian" is a Level 3 monster with 1600 DEF. After a "Blackwing" monster battles your opponent's monster and that monster is still on the field at the end of the Damage Step, you can discard "Etesian" to inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. Due to the fact that this is a negligible amount of damage, it's worse than useless for the deck.
  • Blackwing - Fane the Steel Chain: "Fane" is a Level 2 monster with 500 ATK. It can attack your opponent directly, and when it inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can change one attack position monster your opponent controls to defense position. This card has an OTK potential with "Sirocco" on the field.
  • Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind: "Gale" is definitely the best "Blackwing" monster. It has 1300 ATK, is a Level 3 Tuner monster, and can Special Summon itself from your hand while you control another "Blackwing" monster. As if that wasn't enough, it can also halve the ATK of one monster your opponent controls permanently each turn, making it effectively a 2600 beatstick.
  • Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind: "Ghibli" is a Level 3 monster with 1600 DEF. You can Special Summon it from your hand when your opponent declares a direct attack. In addition to that, you can switch its ATK and DEF until the End Phase once per turn. A "Battle Fader" would be more useful.
  • Blackwing - Gust the Backblast: "Gust" is a Level 2 monster with 1400 ATK. You can Special Summon it from your hand while you control no cards. While it's face-up on the field, if your opponent's monster attacks a "Blackwing" monster you control, that monster loses 300 ATK during the Damage Step. It has some uses in making high Level Synchro Monsters but in general is not worth using.
  • Blackwing - Hillen the Tengu-wind: "Hillen" is a Level 5 tuner with 2300 DEF. Once per duel, when you take 2000 or more Battle Damage from your opponent's direct attack while it's in the Graveyard you can select one Level 3 or lower "Blackwing" monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon "Hillen" and that monster. Their effects are then negated. This card is too high-level for a tuner to actually use properly in a "Blackwing" deck.
  • Blackwing - Jetstream the Blue Sky: "Jetstream" is a Level 1 monster that you can discard during the Damage Step to prevent a "Blackwing" monster you control from being destroyed by battle. It's useful, but not as much as "Threatening Roar" or "Waboku".
  • Blackwing - Jin the Rain Shadow: "Jin" is a Level 1 Tuner monster with 600 ATK. If it battles a monster with DEF equal to or less than his ATK, that monster is destroyed at the beginning of the Damage Step. There are too few good monsters with DEF that low for it to be useful.
  • Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow: "Kalut" is one of the more powerful "Blackwing" monsters. It has a small 1400 ATK but you can discard it during the Damage Step of either turn to increase the ATK of a "Blackwing" monster you control by 1400 ATK. This lets "Shura" get over anything, and is insanely useful - it can even be searched by "Black Whirlwind" after Normal Summoning a "Shura", "Bora", or "Zephyros".
  • Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak: "Kochi" is a Level 4 "Blackwing" Tuner monster with 1500 DEF. It can't be used in a Synchro Summon if it was Special Summoned. Unfortunately, this is a condition, so "Shura" or "Skill Drain" cannot negate it.
  • Blackwing - Kogarashi the Wanderer: "Kogarashi" is a Level 6 Tuner monster with 2300 ATK. When a "Blackwing" monster you control is destroyed by a card effect you can Special Summon him from your hand. In addition to that, when he's used in a Synchro Summon your opponent cannot respond with card effects (such as "Torrential Tribute"). It's too situational for the current metagame to be useful.
  • Blackwing - Mistral the Silver Shield: "Mistral" is a Level 2 Tuner monster with 1800 DEF. When it's destroyed, you don't take damage from the next battle that turn. It's used in some decks as a target for "Shura" but alone isn't that good.
  • Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame: "Shura" is another powerful "Blackwing" monster. It has 1800 ATK and when it destroys a monster by battle you can Special Summon one "Blackwing" monster from your Deck with 1500 or less ATK, such as "Gale". The monster's effect is negated, but this can even be beneficial - if you are using "Vayu", you can Special Summon it with "Shura" then Synchro Summon a Level 5 monster.
  • Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn: "Sirocco" is a Level 5 "Blackwing" monster with 2000 ATK. It has two useful effects - the first is that it can be Normal Summoned without Tributes if you control no cards. The second is that you can select another "Blackwing" monster you control, and give it the total ATK of all Blackwings on either side of the field for the turn at the cost of other monsters not attacking that turn. It's used in "Vayu" based decks.
  • Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor: "Vayu" is a peculiar card, and the reason that "Blackwings" haven't died out. It's a Level 1 Tuner monster that can't be used in a Synchro Summon (although this effect is negated when Special Summoned by "Shura"). While in the Graveyard, you can Banish it and another "Blackwing" monster to Special Summon a "Blackwing" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, negating its effect. This means that the monster wasn't summoned properly, so it can't be brought back by "Monster Reborn". The benefit of all this is in Vayu-Norleras or Vayu-Grepher decks, where you can get free monsters with a proper Graveyard setup.
  • Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite: "Zephyros" is a Level 4 monster with 1600. Once per duel, you can return a face-up card you control to your hand in order to Special Summon it from your Graveyard at the cost of 400 Life Points. This effect is amazing in many decks, such as "Dragunities", although it's only slightly above par in "Blackwings".

Synchro Monsters:

  • Blackwing Armed Wing: "Armed Wing" is a Level 6 Synchro Monster with 2300 ATK. It requires a "Blackwing" Tuner monster. "Armed Wing" has piercing and gains 500 ATK when attacking a Defense Position monster. More than one copy should be used for each deck, as this card is really easy to Synchro Summon.
  • Blackwing Armor Master: "Armor Master" is a Level 7 Synchro Monster with 2500 ATK. It requires a "Blackwing" Tuner monster. It can't be destroyed by battle and you take no battle damage from battles involving it. In addition to that, if it battles a monster, that monster gets a Wedge Counter. You can remove all wedge counters from your opponent's monsters to reduce their ATK scores to 0 until the End Phase.
  • Blackwing - Silverwind the Ascendant: "Silverwind" is a Level 8 Synchro Monster with 2800 ATK. It requires a "Blackwing" Tuner monster and two or more non-Tuner monsters. When it's Synchro Summoned, you can destroy up to two monsters with less DEF than his ATK. It can't attack the turn you use that effect. In addition to that, it stops one "Blackwing" monster from being destroyed by battle during your opponent's turn once. It's useful if you can summon him but most "Blackwing" decks can't.

Spells

  • Against the Wind: "Against the Wind" returns one "Blackwing" monster from your Graveyard to your hand and deals damage to you equal to their ATK power. "Monster Reincarnation" can be a substitute, but you send a card from your hand to the graveyard instead.
  • Black Whirlwind: "Black Whirlwind" is one of the reasons why the "Blackwing" archetype is very powerful. When you Normal Summon a "Blackwing" monster, you can add another "Blackwing" monster from your deck to your hand. This opens up a huge set of possibilities that allow you to Synchro Summon very easily. Remember - you can only add a monster from your Deck to your hand with less ATK than the one you Normal Summoned. If you plan on Normal Summoning a card like "Bora" or "Shura", then add and Special Summon "Gale", this drawback should be easy to cope with.
  • Black-Winged Strafe: "Black-Winged Strafe" lets you send a "Blackwing" monster from your hand to your Graveyard to destroy one defense position monster your opponent controls. "Shield Crush" is better and even that isn't all that good.
  • Cards for Black Feathers: "Cards for Black Feathers" lets you Banish a "Blackwing" monster in your hand to draw two cards at the cost of that turn's Special Summon. It's worse than "Allure of Darkness" and "Pot of Duality", making it not worth using at more than 1.
  • Raptor Wing Strike: "Raptor Wing Strike" lets you return a "Blackwing" monster from your hand to your Deck in order to search your Deck for any "Blackwing" monster. Use it if you really need a specific "Blackwing" monster, but only if you are willing to give up one of your monsters on the field.

Traps

  • Blackback: "Blackback" can only be activated during your turn. It Special Summons one "Blackwing" monster with 2000 or less ATK from your Graveyard at the cost of your Normal Summon. "Call of the Haunted" and "Monster Reborn" are both better, making it worthless.
  • Blackboost: "Blackboost" Banishes two "Blackwing" Tuner monsters you control to let you draw two cards. This is a -1 and it's slow, so it's not worth using.
  • Black Feather Beacon: "Black Feather Beacon" lets you Special Summon a Level 4 or lower "Blackwing" monster from your hand when you take damage from a card effect. It's a -1 and too situational to be worth using.
  • Black Return: "Black Return" can only be activated when a "Blackwing" monster is Special Summoned. You can return one face-up monster your opponent controls to their hand and gain Life Points equal to its ATK. It's not a bad card but is more situational than "Compulsory Evacuation Device".
  • Black Thunder: "Black Thunder" can only be activated when a "Blackwing" monster you control is destroyed by battle. It inflicts 400 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for every card they control. The damage is too small for it to be worth using.
  • Blackwing - Backlash: "Backlash" lets you destroy all monsters your opponent controls when they make a direct attack while you have 5 or more "Blackwing" monsters in your Graveyard. If you can fill up your Graveyard quickly enough, it can be useful, but otherwise should be avoided.
  • Blackwing - Bombardment: "Bombardment" lets you tribute a "Blackwing" monster you control to increase the ATK of a Synchro Monster you control by its ATK. You lose two cards and it's unlikely that the damage is enough to OTK, so it's not worth using.
  • Blackwing - Boobytrap: "Boobytrap" inflicts 1000 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points and lets you draw a card when it's destroyed while face-down by your opponent's card effect while you control a face-up "Blackwing" monster. It's not a bad card but it's situational, doing nothing for you while it's face-down.
  • Delta Crow - Anti Reverse: "Delta Crow - Anti Reverse" destroys all Set Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. You cannot activate it if you don't control "Blackwing" monster but if you have exactly three "Blackwing" monsters on the field you can activate it from your hand. While useful, "Heavy Storm" and "Mystical Space Typhoon" are less situational and are more useful.
  • Fake Feather: "Fake Feather" discards one "Blackwing" monster from your hand and becomes a Normal Trap Card in your opponent's Graveyard. It's too situational to be good.
  • Ebon Arrow: "Ebon Arrow" lets you select a face-up monster you control. It loses 500 ATK but deals piercing damage as well as inflicting damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the DEF of any monsters it destroys in battle that turn. It's a -1 and as such is not worth using.

Other Cards

Monsters

  • Battlestorm: "Battlestorm" is a Level 4 Winged Beast-Type monster with 1700 ATK. It gains 100 ATK per Winged Beast-Type monster you control. In addition to that, once per turn, if you control 3 or more Winged Beast-Type monsters, you can destroy one Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. The effect can be useful and it's a nice beatstick that has potential in "Blackwing" decks.
  • Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning: "Black Luster Soldier" should be used in every deck that can use it. It wins games alone.
  • Caius the Shadow Monarch: "Caius" can work in "Blackwing" decks because ample tribute fodder is provided for it. It also has an extremely useful effect.
  • Dark Armed Dragon: "Dark Armed Dragon" is quite popular in "Blackwing" decks due to nothing but precedence, but it's rather risky because you have to have exactly three DARK monsters in your Graveyard and it's Limited. Without "Vayu" they don't have much Graveyard control.
  • Dark Grepher: "Dark Grepher" lets you discard a Level 5 or higher DARK monster to Special Summon it and once per turn you can discard a DARK monster to send any DARK monster from your Deck to your Graveyard. With a "Vayu" or "Sirocco" in your hand, you can send the other card to the Graveyard and Special Summon "Armed Wing".
  • Dark Simorgh: "Dark Simorgh" can be Special Summoned by Banishing a DARK and WIND monster from your Graveyard, or, if in your Graveyard, you can Banish a DARK and a WIND monster in your hand to Special Summon it. It has 2700 ATK and prevents your opponent from setting cards - it's well worth using in a deck that can make use of it.
  • Dragunity Darkspear: "Dragunity Darkspear" is a Level 3 Dragon-Type Tuner monster that you can tribute to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard. It's useful in some "Dark Simorgh" variants.
  • Magical Merchant: "Magical Merchant" is a Level 1 LIGHT monster. When it's flipped, you have to pick up the top cards of your Deck to your Graveyard until pick up a Spell or Trap Card, then add that card to your hand and send the rest to your Graveyard. It sets up your Graveyard extremely well in a Vayu Norleras deck.
  • Plaguespreader Zombie: "Plaguespreader Zombie" is a Level 2 Tuner monster. It can Special Summon itself from your Graveyard by returning the top card of your hand to your Deck. When it leaves the field after using the effect, it is Banished. This is a powerful effect, especially in a deck using "Dark Grepher".
  • Phantom of Chaos: "Phantom of Chaos" can become any monster by Banishing that monster from your Graveyard. It can't inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points, but it can become "Sky Scourge Norleras" and clear the field and both player's hands at the cost of 1000 Life Points, then let you draw a card.
  • Reborn Tengu: "Reborn Tengu" is a Level 4 Beast Warrior-Type monster with 1700 ATK. When it leaves the field, you get to Special Summon another copy from your Deck. It's a WIND monster so you can use it for "Dark Simorgh".
  • Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter: When "Ryko" is flipped, you can destroy a card on the field then send the top three cards of your Deck to your Graveyard. While not as effective as "Magical Merchant", it is often preferred for its destruction effect. It is also LIGHT.
  • Sky Scourge Norleras: "Sky Scourge Norleras" is a DARK monster so you can send it to your Graveyard with "Dark Grepher" and then Banish it for "Phantom of Chaos". Afterward, you can use all "Vayu" and "Sirocco" in your Graveyard to Special Summon a number of "Blackwing - Armed Wing".
  • The Dark Creator: "The Dark Creator" has 2300 ATK and can Special Summon itself from your hand while you have at least 5 DARK monsters in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can Banish a DARK monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon a DARK monster in your Graveyard. A sufficiently fast "Blackwing" deck can use this effectively, as can a Vayu-Norleras deck.
  • Thunder King Rai-Oh: "Rai-Oh" is an amazing Level 4 LIGHT monster. It has 1900 ATK, stops searching, and you can tribute it to negate a Synchro Summon.

Synchro Monsters:

  • Dark End Dragon: "Dark End Dragon" is a Level 8 Synchro Monster with 2600 ATK. By permanently losing 500 ATK, it can send a monster on the field to the Graveyard, getting around the negation effect of "Stardust Dragon". Most decks can't use this because it requires a DARK Tuner monster, but "Blackwing" decks can due to their being DARK.
  • Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg: "Gae Dearg" is a Level 6 Synchro Monster with 2400 ATK. It requires a Dragon-Type Tuner monster and one or more Winged Beast-Type non-Tuner monsters. Once per turn, it lets you add a Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type or Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand, then discard a Winged Beast-Type or Dragon-Type monster. This is extremely useful in a "Vayu" deck if you can Synchro Summon it.
  • Vortex the Whirlwind: "Vortex the Whirlwind" is a Level 5 Synchro Monster with 2100 ATK. When it's destroyed, you can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck. It can be used in "Blackwing" decks.

Spells

  • Allure of Darkness: "Allure of Darkness" lets you draw two cards then Banish a DARK monster in your hand. If you don't have a DARK monster in your hand, you have to discard your whole hand. It's popular in DARK decks due to the speed it gives them.
  • Burial from a Different Dimension: "Burial from the Different Dimension" can be used with "Vayu" and "Sirocco" that are Banished in order to reuse them.
  • Dark Eruption: "Dark Eruption" lets you add a DARK monster with 1500 or less ATK such as "Gale", "Kalut", or "Blizzard" from your Graveyard to your hand.
  • Swallow's Nest: "Swallow's Nest" is a Quick-Play Spell Card that lets you tribute a Winged Beast-Type monster you control in order to Special Summon another Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck with the same level. The -1 is considered too much for it to be worthwhile, although it does have uses.

Traps

  • Icarus Attack: "Icarus Attack" is a Trap Card that at the cost of a Winged Beast-Type monster lets you destroy two cards on the field.
  • Skill Drain: "Skill Drain" negates the effects of all face-up monsters on the field - in a "Blackwing" deck without "Blizzard", you can effectively sit behind "Shura", "Bora", and "Sirocco" while your opponent's monster's effects are negated.

Variants

Standard Blackwings

A standard "Blackwing" deck uses some swarm tactics coupled with Synchro Summoning ability and a decent beatdown strategy.

Skill Drain Blackwings

By adding "Skill Drain" to a "Blackwing" deck you can negate your opponent's monster effects without losing many of your own.

Tengu-Blackwings

With "Reborn Tengu", you can make "Dark Simorgh", a powerful monster that prevents your opponent from setting cards.

Blackwing-Xyz

With the addition of "Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak", a "Blackwing" based Xyz deck becomes viable. With "Shura" and "Kochi", you can make a Rank 4 Xyz Monster, or you can Normal Summon "Kochi", Special Summon "Bora", and either Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster, something almost impossible for standard "Blackwings", or Xyz Summon a Rank 4 Xyz Monster. The deck can also benefit from "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite" by using its effect as well as "Mist Valley Falcon" and "Fiendish Chain" for effect negation and "Reborn Tengu" to maintain advantage. "Dark Simorgh" is an obvious choice for this sort of deck due to all the WIND monsters and "Dark Grepher" can send "Zephyros" to your Graveyard.

Vayu-Grepher

"Vayu" and "Sirocco" can be used with "Dark Grepher" in order to swarm more easily and efficiently.

Vayusworn

With "Lightsworn" you have a better chance of sending "Vayu" and "Sirocco" to your Graveyard.

Vayu-Norleras

With "Magical Merchant" you can send almost your entire deck to the Graveyard. Then, after clearing the field with "Phantom of Chaos", you can Special Summon a few "Blackwing" Synchro Monsters with "Vayu" to win.

Black-Winged Dragon Abuse

With "Black-Winged Dragon", you can maximize on the effects of "Zephyros" and similar cards.
