So this is a much-revised decklist for what has become one of my most entertaining decks. Basically the core idea behind this deck is to bounce your monsters from banishment to the field and back (like a fisherman might cast his fly lure) simultaneously protecting your monsters and your life points. The deck also contains an XYZ summoning component as well as a tendency to overcome more powerful monsters by draining their attack.

I welcome all comments, criticisms, and questions, but there are a few things I'd like addressed.

- Airtortoise is naturally a key element in this deck, but I find that sometimes I still have difficulty getting him into a position where I can use him quickly. While Fincess and Mermaid Shark have greatly helped this deck's ability to produce cards it needs, it almost seems I have an overdraw of fish and a lack of the vital game-winning sea-serpent and aqua cards.

- Building off that first issue with Airtortoise, the deck can still have difficulties with speed. I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that the nature of the deck pretty much requires a few turns to pass in order to really become at all threatening. This certainly leaves me at the mercy of decks which can summon big, and quick.

- Attack strength is definitely needed. While I adore beating much tougher opponents with weaker monsters, I can't deny that there are times that if only I had a strong attacker I could have pressed my advantage and won. Now the XYZ monsters can help with this, but any such summoning tends to be quite risky because it often ruins the momentum this deck's strat has built up over the course of the duel. So I've been looking for other cards. Any recommendations (maybe Aqua Jet? or maybe Horn of the Unicorn?)Eroif1300 (talkcontribs) 15:30, May 9, 2014 (UTC) Eroif1300 (talkcontribs) 07:18, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Banisharks! My favorites!

I can see why you'd be having trouble getting Wingtortoise out, as Aqua isn't exactly a well-supported type. The best bet is likely Foolish Burial and the Underwater Egg Clutches (which you've got.)

If you need speed, Shark Stickers is excellent, as it can jump to the field from the hand whenever a Fish, Sea-Serpent, of Aqua Type monster is either Normal or Special Summoned. It also combos excellently with Salvage, which basically gives you most of your Xyz's in the Deck. If you can get your hands on another Leviair I'd certainly advise it - the ability to re-use Beautunaful Princess is too good to resist, and will thin out the Deck a lot more. A draw card I also use is Monster Slots, which has excellent potential for success given the number of Level 3's in the Deck.

Aqua Jet can certainly work (being pressed for space I don't use it as much myself). If you're worried about momentum, Lost Blue Breaker is an excellent card, easily searched with Diva and revived by Surface and Salvage. With another denizen of the deep out, Breaker can be Tributed to nuke a Spell or Trap, hitting what Airorca can't (though without Airorca's advantage of fueling and returning.) As for taking on large monsters, the Deck is perfectly capable of bringing even Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons down to size. You have both Needle Sunfish and Friller Rabca in triplicates, and by using Nimble Sunfish to channel them, Beelze can be brought down to 2000 ATK, able to be finished off by Black Ray Lancer and his negation effect. Black Ray Lancer's upgraded counterpart is no slouch either, with self-protection, and the ability to take out a Spell or Trap card when it destroys a monster in battle.

I'm not quite sure why Spearfish Soldier is in there though... to me, it isn't as necessary being Level 4. I'd also recommend a few Synchro monsters, since Diva is present. Catastor (though expensive) can be immediately brought out by Diva, as can Sea Dragon Lord Gishilnodon. With a Nimble Sunfish out, Diva and Breaker can combine with it to bring out Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, whose cost can be mitigated by Salvage. Other tuners to try are Genex Ally Birdman, Reese the Ice Mistress, and Fishborg Archer.

Of course, these are suggestions only, not orders. Dimensional Prison and Bottomless Trap Hole are excellent staples to run, as they banish potential Leviair targets.

Whew! I think I'll stop for now. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 20:45, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
