What happens when the monster you summoned with future fusion is flipped face down, is it destroyed when future fusion goes to the grave, or does it just dequip?

It will be flipped face-down and will no longer be attached to Future Fusion. When Future Fusion is destroyed, the Fusion Monster will not be destroyed.-- HHTurtle Talk   06:28, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Why would the face-down monster no longer be attached? Future Fusion is not an equip card. It doesn't say face-up anywhere on it. Skullvarnish (talkcontribs) 16:13, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

""If the Special Summoned Fusion Monster is removed from the field without being destroyed then "Future Fusion" will remain on the field meaninglessly."

It works similarly to Call of the Haunted.-- HHTurtle Talk   16:24, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Flipped face-down =/= removed from the field. Skullvarnish (talkcontribs) 17:57, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

That's not what he meant. When the monster attached to Call of the Haunted is flipped face-down, then it no longer relies on Call of the Haunted to stay on the field. You may not understand why, but it's true. --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 18:07, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I uderstand that it works that way, but why? There is no rule in the rulebook, no text in its effect, and no legitment reason to rule it that way. Why do they make such nonsense rulings? Skullvarnish (talkcontribs) 18:14, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Well, it's game's technology of how they work. Continuous remains as if monster is removed from the field other than destroyed. But please be sure to read the text word closely. Birthright and Limit Reverse has different text from Call of the Haunted - As Birthright can bring Normal Monster, and is destroyed at any time monster is removed from play (beside destroy) but both still work ever the monster is flipped to face-down. For Limit Reverse, it is more limited than other two, as it need 1000 ATK or lower monster in ATK only, though I am not sure if it affect same way with other two if it was flipped down to face-down, since it mentioned that if the target monster is put into DEF position, it can destroy both. That maybe would be answer by other member who know in and out of "Limit Reverse" better than I am. Hope this helps. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 18:20, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I thought that I didn't have to explain much about this. The effect of Future Fusion and Call of the Haunted target the special summoned card by their effects. Once, the targeted monster is flipped face-down or removed from the field, it is no longer targeted by their effects. Even if the monster is flipped face-up again or returned to the field, it will no longer be targeted by the card because its effect doesn't allow you to re-target the monster.-- HHTurtle Talk   06:29, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, NOW it make sense! Man, I've been playing for over 7 years and I still have got some things to learn. Skullvarnish (talkcontribs) 16:59, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
