Heres a list of the cards in my Gladiator Beast deck. All I really need for it is Test Tiger. Mind you, 90% of this deck i pulled out of packs, so my options were limited im terms of deck making. Tell me what you think:--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 01:46, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Kaleb! Your Welcome!

--RainClaw (talkcontribs) 13:44, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

You need to replace bad cards with Staples. Waboku is far inferior to Threatening Roar, and Mirror Force is even better. Disarm isn't necessary for Gladiator Beasts. Parry isn't either. You need two more Gladiator Beast War Chariot because it's an amazing card. Defensive Tactics and Double Tag Team aren't that good either. You should add Solemn Judgment, Torrential Tribute, and two Bottomless Trap Hole. Colosseum - Cage of the Gladiator Beasts is useless, as are all the Gladiator Beast Equip Spell Cards and Indomitable Gladiator Beast. Lightning Vortex isn't very good. Add Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, Monster Reborn, Book of Moon, and two Forbidden Lance. Two or three copies of A HERO Lives would also be good. Gladiator Beast Secutor is bad because he can't tag out. Gladiator Beast Andal is bad for the same reason, as is Gladiator Beast Tygerius. Gladiator Beast Samnite rarely sees use, and Gladiator Beast Dimacari is too weak to be worth using. Hedge Guard adds nothing to the deck. Gladiator Beast Hoplomus should only be used at one, if at all. Gladiator Beast Equeste is good at two. You need a second Gladiator Beast Laquari. Gladiator Beast Murmillo is too weak to use any more than one. Gorz the Emissary of Darkness is also good, as is two or three Elemental HERO Prisma and Elemental HERO Stratos. You need a second Gladiator Beast Gyzarus and two Gladiator Beast Essedarii, and you don't need Gladiator Beast Gaidodiaz.

Alternatively, instead of the HERO cards, you could just use Thunder King Rai-Oh. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:54, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Waboku is a staple for any Glad deck. It prevents the GB from being destroyed and allows it to tag at the end of the Battle Phase.

164.106.108.254 (talk) 18:04, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Wrong-it's not a staple. If you use Mirror Force, you still get the Tag Out, as they were attacked. Same with Compulsory Evacuation Device and Dimensional Prison. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 18:10, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

I... Boba... You... *facepalm*. Okay, NORMALLY Boba is one of the better deckbuilders here, but in this case, ignore the following points of what he has said: "Waboku is far inferior to Threatening Roar,"Two or three copies of A Hero Lives would also be good,"two or three Elemental HERO Prisma and Elemental HERO Stratos," and "If you use Mirror Force, you still get the Tag Out, as they were attacked. Same with Compulsory Evacuation Device and Dimensional Prison."

Hero Glads just aren't as consistent as regular Glads. GBs don't tag unless the battle actually happens, so D Prison, Compulse, Mirror Force, etc. do NOT allow GBs to tag. Waboku is not a Staple for Glads, but it can be a nice card for the deck, depending on player preference. More often than not though, monster removal is better, because it lets you make a direct attack next turn, and then you can do whatever you want. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 18:53, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Seriously? I've been trying to figure out how things work with Gladiator Beasts, and there's nothing in the rulings that went either way. My bad. Sorry. Anyhow, the HERO thing is actually really good - get Gyzarus and Heraklinos in the same turn with A HERO Lives and any Gladiator Beast. You don't even need Test Tiger, although I've dueled a variant where you use Test Tiger for Xyz Summons (it was odd, but not all that bad). BF2 Talk Deck Guides 20:51, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Actally, i like carrying Defensive Tactics, as it is equivelent to Waboku in that it lets the battle take place without damaging me, and Defensive Tactics goes back into the deck after use, so when im shuffling the deck i can redraw and suse it. Also, what do you think about side decking Imperial Iron Wall. --SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 20:56, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Nah, Iron Wall hurts Retiari, the third most important main deck monster (at the moment). Waboku is better than Defensive Tactics, and you want a smaller deck so you actually end up drawing your better cards. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 20:58, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

THe deck has 42 cards, so i usually do draw what i need. I was considering Imperial Iron Wall because too often i find my self in the situation where my only Laquari is banished.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 21:02, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

That's why should you use two or three and cut down on a lot of the other ones. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 21:04, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Defensive Tactics is more situational than Waboku, and the "recycling" effect actually hurts you, as it thickens the deck and makes you less likely to draw the cards you need in a critical situation. That extra 1-2 cards out of your deck will save you a lot more than you think it will (or ever be able to prove...). Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 21:08, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Like i said, i made this deck out of what i got in GLAS packs and such, and i didnt have access to much. i only have 1 laquari.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 21:08, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

You can't play GBs without 2-3 Laquari. It's like trying to play GK's without Necrovalley. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:02, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

SepulturesApprentice is Right. his deck is good im friends with him outside the wiki and i have dueled him multiple times. The Defensive Tactics is a useful cards cause it is the equivalent to Waboku and it recycles back into the deck. He can tell you that my Deck Doesn't suck either. its very recourceful and ussualy pulls a fusion out turn 1. i have a way to bring out 5 monsters in 1 turn to swarm my opponent. This Gladiator Beast Deck is very Recourceful and Heraklinos is amazing as is Giaodiaz so go screw yourself if you havent dueled it yet.--RainClaw (talkcontribs) 13:31, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Do not be abusive. For Gaiodiaz, you would need Spartacus, who is dead in the hand. Parry and Disarm are inferior to Magic Jammer and Seven Tools of the Bandit, both bad cards in the current Meta. I suggest Forbidden Lance instead.
Sending a card back to the Deck is generally not good unless it's a Staple or something critically important. Drawing a Dark Hole or Mirror Force will get you out of a tough spot even if you have no monsters, while re-drawing Defensive Tactics is only useful if you have a a Gladiator Beast, your opponent doesn't destroy it by an effect, your opponent attacks it, and you can tag it out for another one that can get you out of that tough spot. Maybe Shrink instead. 207.233.120.2 (talk) 15:27, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

@RainClaw: There is no need to be rude. We are politely offering advice based on our own experiences (I myself played GBs for a while) and the experiences of other successful players. Please refrain from using offensive language, especially when it is directed at others whose sole intention is to help the OP build a better deck and become a better player. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 18:53, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, lets be polite. anyhow, i want to say that both colosseum and indomitable GB have both saved me in several situations. i have pumped up the colosseum to about 20 counters b4 and it proves very useful(tho the card itself could have a better second effect). and when i have, say Darius or Equeste out, i like to set an indomitable GB, and it is helpful. i also like it because i can recycle it with Equeste. And also, if you play the above deck right, spartacus is not dead in hand. i know because ive used him from the hand b4.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 19:12, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Why would you ever Tribute Summon Spartacus? If you have a GB out, you can Set another one and Contact Fuse Retiarii. As for Colosseum, it grants ATK, but your biggest threat is something that will not let you tag out at all (such as Catastor or Kristya).
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 19:26, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

The way i did it, it worked.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 19:29, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Also, the only reason i carry the GB equipt spells is because i can put them in my hand with Spartacus so i can recycle them with Heraklinos effect and Equeste. And the Spartacus fusion, Gaiodiaz, is pretty nasty if you use him right, trust me.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 19:32, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

I think an important distinction needs to be made here. Most of your card choices are not bad. They are just not as good as other choices. While you may find that something works for you, that doesn't mean there isn't something else that can/will work better. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:41, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about what I said earlier, im just pissed that people are saying my friends and my own deck isnt good when we both know we could destroy in a tag team together. I truly sorry about what i said im so angry about that --RainClaw (talkcontribs) 22:10, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

If i were to obtain 2 more Laquari, who should i replace for them? And hedge gaurd is not useless in this deck-i have saved my self (and my monster) countless times with it.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 20:50, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, how about this: you list all the cards you think i should replace, and a list of what you think i should add in. But let e clear you up on this: i am not doing any thing to my Defensive Tactics. other than that, i am totally open to all your suggestions.--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 22:44, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

If you'd like to compare and see what a "good/competitive" GB deck looks like, here's mine. You'll notice it's significantly different than yours, and some of my card choices may seem unusual to you, so I'd be happy to explain anything that confuses you. Gladiator Beasts are Hard to find!

That Looks good except GB's are hard to find

Well, most of them are common, & not too expensive on ebay, & they are in leg' collect 2 (all of them), and it expects to sell out quickly, based on the supplier the shop I work at uses, so there should be a good number of them going around soon,
-Resk ()() 13:57, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
What sort of shop do you work at? BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:42, October 6, 2011 (UTC)

@Lappyzard: the reason your GB deck is different from mine because i was trying to make a pure GB deck, which i think if made right is very good. yours seems to focus around removing from play with DF and DP, and clearing the way to tag out. how do you think my deck would do if i changed it to a slight destructive/ GB deck? Direct atks are good for GBs right. which cards would be good for a destroy/tag out deck?

That's not the point of the deck. It's a pure GB deck plus Rai-Oh. It doesn't focus on Dimensional Fissure, that's just a card which barely hurts your deck but drastically hurts your opponent's. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 01:11, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

While what would be good for a destruction GB deck? Are there any archtypes that goe well if combined with GBs?--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 15:31, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

Ya Your Deck and Mine in a Tag Team is invincible and You know that Caleb! Our Decks work as one together GO GLADIATOR HERO BAGEL!!!!!!!!(P.S. Thats our Youtube name idea!Making Yugioh GX abridged series!)--RainClaw (talkcontribs) 13:34, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Octavius is bad. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 12:50, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

What about Grand Mole?--SepulchresApprentice (talkcontribs) 19:50, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Grand Mole's okay. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 22:34, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

heres my version MONSTERS -GBs laquari, spartacus, bestiari, 2xequeste, 2xdarius, tygerius, octavius, murmillo, hoplomus -non GBs cyber dragon, mirage dragon, top runner(easy to summon stardust), penguin soldier, dd assailant, goddess with the third eye, marshmallon, legendary jujitsu master, hedge guard, e-hero prisma SPELLS shrink, 3x gladiator proving ground, 2xbattle archfiend shield, heavy storm, mystical space typhoon, book of moon, my body as a shield, monster reborn, smashing ground, indomitable gladiator beast TRAPS 2x solemn warning, solemn judgement, mirror force, double tag team, miracles wake, divine wrath(i dont have charriot :/) and bottomless trap hole FUSION DECK heraclinos, 2x gyzarus, gaiodiaz, steelswarm roach, leviathan dragon, stardust dragon

Honestly, that's not very good. There's no point in Synchro Summoning in Gladiator Beasts. Miracle's Wake is just plain bad. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 21:31, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Pot of Duality

Question, Why is Pot of Duality considered a good card in Gladiator Beast Decks? wouldn't it get in the way of tagging? Ruicub (talkcontribs) 13:41, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

You don't need to Special Summon the first turn of the game or for that matter, many turns a good beatstick (Laquari) will do just fine. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 17:39, November 22, 2011 (UTC)
